AUTO-GPS
Your current location or information measured 
by Pedometer/Activity monitor is automatically 
sent to service providers on a regular basis 
(approximately once in every 5 minutes), which 
allows you to services that deliver information 
about the weather or shops around where you 
are, or sightseeing information. (In Japanese 
only)

KTo use an AUTO-GPS compatible service, set 
AUTO-GPS service information from its AUTO-
GPS compatible i-
αppli.
KWhen using the AUTO-GPS function, check 
instructions and precautions given in website 
of GPS service providers and NTT DOCOMO. 
And, you may be charged for using these 
services.

KNote that more power is consumed in FOMA 
terminal due to a regular communication 
depending on your usage condition.

KYou can set Low battery setting to deactivate 
the AUTO-GPS function to save the battery 
consumption when the battery level gets low.

KIf FOMA terminal is left in a warm place or exposed 
to direct sunlight for a long time, images to be shot 
may be deteriorated.

KIf the FOMA terminal is closed or no operations are 
performed for approximately 2 minutes during 
shooting stand-by, the camera ends.

KNote that your hand may cover the light depending 
on how you hold the terminal.

KWhen temperature inside of the FOMA terminal is raised by 
heat generation during camera operation, recording or 
camera function may be terminated even if it does not reach 
to the maximum shooting time due to protection of the 
FOMA terminal. Wait until the temperature of the FOMA 
terminal is dropped and then use the camera function. Note 
that this phenomenon is not abnormal condition.

Watching 1Seg
ÔUsing 1Seg1Seg is a service provided by TV broadcasting 
enterprises (stations), etc. A communication fee 
for receiving video picture and sound is not 
required. Contact NHK for details on your NHK 
viewing fees.
*For viewing Data broadcasting site, i-mode site, 
etc., packet communication fees are charged. Some 
sites require information fees (i-mode pay sites).

ÔAirwaves1Seg is one of the broadcast services and a 
different type of radio waves (airwaves) from that 
of FOMA service is received. In the following 
cases, reception condition may become bad or 
reception may be unavailable.

buildings

KTunnel, underground or far back from a

*To make the reception condition better, stretch out the 
1Seg antenna. To receive stronger radio waves, try 
changing the direction of the antenna, or moving to 
another location.

In some regions channels are rearranged with the 
termination of analog broadcasting. Therefore, you 
may be required to reset Auto setting by auto 
scanning. And, after you reset channels by Auto 
setting, make sure to register them to the channel list.

Music&Video Channel
Music&Video Channel is a service which 
automatically distributes a program of up to 
approximately 2 hours at night. You can also 
enjoy high-quality video program of up to 
approximately 1 hour. (In Japanese only)

KMusic&Video Channel is a charged service 
requiring subscription. Subscriptions to i-mode 
and i-mode packet flat-rate services are 
required for the service.

KInformation fee may be required additionally 
for some programs besides Music&Video 
Channel service fee.

KIf docomo mini UIM card is used on a 
Music&Video Channel incompatible FOMA 
terminal after subscribing to Music&Video 
Channel, Music&Video Channel cannot be 
used. Note that the service fee is charged 
unless Music&Video Channel is unsubscribed.

KProgram setting and downloading are 
unavailable during international roaming*. 
Stop distribution of programs before leaving 
Japan. When you return to Japan, resume 
distribution of programs.
*Note that attempting program setting or downloading 
during international roaming requires packet

i-αppli
i-αppli/i-Widget
i-αppli is a software for i-mode compatible 
terminals, which updates the information of stock 
price or weather automa tically, or provides 
games that can be played without connecting to 
the network. i-Widget is a convenient function 
that allows you to easily access frequently-used 
contents and tools (Widget Appli) such as 
calculator, clock, memo, stock price information, 
etc.
Either i-
αppli or i-Widget can be downloaded 
from i-mode site or sites provided by IPs 
(Information Providers). For details, refer to 
Mobile Phone Users Guide [i-mode] FOMA 
version.

Osaifu-Keitai
Using Osaifu-Keitai
ÙOsaifu-KeitaiOsaifu-Keitai is equipped with IC card and allows 
you to pay money or to use coupon or stamp rally 
only by holding FOMA terminal over the IC card 
reader in stores etc.
And you can access site or web site by holding 
the FOMA terminal over IC card reader, obtain the 
latest coupon by using communication, credit 
electronic money, or check the usage. Various 
security systems are also equipped. For details, 
refer to Mobile Phone Users Guide [i-mode] 
FOMA version.

KThe data (including electronic money, points, 
etc.) in the IC card may be lost or modified 
because of the malfunction of FOMA terminal 
(When we take your Osaifu-Keitai for repair etc., 
as we cannot take it with data remained, you 
are required to erase the data by yourself). For 
support such as reissuance, restoration, 
temporary preservation or transfer of data 
except transfer by iC transfer service, confirm 
with Osaifu-Keitai compatible service provider. 
For important data, be sure to use an Osaifu-
Keitai compatible service with backup service.

KIf the data in the IC card is lost, modified or 
damaged by any means related to Osaifu-Keitai 
compatible service such as malfunction or 
model change, DOCOMO assumes no 
responsibility for the loss of data.

KIf FOMA terminal is stolen or misplaced, 
immediately contact Osaifu-Keitai compatible 
service provider for an advice.
ÙToruCaToruCa is an electronic card that can be obtained 
from the FOMA terminal. It can conveniently be 
used as leaflet, restaurant card, coupon ticket, 
etc. You can obtain ToruCa from an IC card 
reader, a site, or data broadcasting. It can be 
exchanged via mail, infrared communication, or 
iC communication. For details, refer to Mobile 
Phone Users Guide [i-mode] FOMA version.
You can start Osaifu-Keitai compatible i-αppli to 
credit money or check the balance or usage. You 
can use the Osaifu-Keitai services compatible with 
Osaifu-Keitai Web plug-in from a site.
