To choose a shooting mode, rotate the mode dial to the desired setting. Aperture and shutter speed can be adjusted using program shift. You choose the shutter speed and leave the camera in charge of aperture. You choose the aperture speed and leave the camera in charge of shutter speed. You choose both shutter speed and aperture. The camera automatically optimizes settings to the scene. A simple “point-and-shoot” mode recommended for first-time users of digital cameras. Choose from a variety of filter effects. Program Shift If desired, you can rotate the command dial to select other combinations of shutter speed and aperture without altering exposure (program shift). In shutter-priority AE (mode S), you select the shutter speed and let the camera choose the aperture. Shutter speed Rotate the command dial to c hoose the shutter speed. If the correct exposure can not be achieved at the selected shu tter speed, aperture will be displayed in red when the shutter button is pressed halfway. In aperture-priority AE (mode A), you select the aperture and let the camera choose the shutter speed. Aperture Rotate the command dial to choose the aperture.
