Intelligent Face Detection allows the camera to automatically detect human faces and set focus
and exposure for a face anywhere in the frame for shots that em phasize portrait subjects. Choose
for group portraits (in horizonta l or vertical orientations) to prevent the camera from focusing on
    the background.
Faces can be detected with the camera in vertical or horizontal orientation; if a f ace is detected, it
will be indicated by a green border. If there is more than one face in the frame, the camera will
select the face closest to the c enter; other faces are indicate d by white borders.
In some modes, the camera may set exposure for the frame as a w hole rather than the
    portrait subject.
If the subject moves as the shutter button is pressed, their fa ce may not be in the area
indicated by the green border when the picture is taken.

    							 [MULTI] [SPOT]
     [AVERAGE]
Choose how the camera measures the brightness of the subject. Automatic scene recognition is used to adjust exposure for a wide
    range of shooting conditions.
The camera meters lighting conditions in the selected focus area or at
the center of the frame. Recommend ed when the background is much
brighter or darker than the main subject.
If [INTERLOCK SPOT AE & FOCUS AREA] is [ON] and
[AREA] is selected for [AUTOFOCUS SETTING] > [AF
MODE] , the camera will meter lighting conditions in the
selected focus area. If [INTERLOCK SPOT AE & FOCUS
AREA] is [OFF] , the camera will meter the center focus area.
Exposure is set to the average for the entire frame. Provides
consistent exposure across multiple shots with the same lighting, and
is particularly effective for landscapes and portraits of subjects
    dressed in black or white.
