[POWER SAVE] [HIGH PERFORMANCE] Adjust power management settings. [AUTO POWER OFF] [QUICK START MODE] [POWER MANAGEMENT] Choose the length of time before the camera turns off automatically when no operations are performed. Shorter times increase battery life; if [OFF] is selected, the camera must be turned off manually. Note that in some situa tions the camera turns off automatically even when [OFF] is selected. Allow the camera to restart in a fast manner after turned off ([ON/OFF]). If [ON] is selected, the camera will continue to draw a small amount o f current from the battery even when off. Quick start mode is cancelled automatical ly if no operations are performed for about 20 minutes. Optimize camera performance for increased battery life or displ ay quality. Reduces display refresh rate. Th e display dims to save power if no operations are performed for a short period, but can be restore d by operating camera controls. Select this option to save power. Choose from the following image stabilization options: [CONTINUOUS + MOTION] / [CONTINUOUS] Image stabilization on. If + [MOTION] is selected, the camera will adjust shutter speed to reduce motion blur when a moving objects are detected. [SHOOTING + MOTION] / [SHOOTING ONLY] As above, except that image stabilization is pe rformed only when the shutter button is pressed halfway or the shutter is released. [OFF] Image stabilization off. Choose this option when using a tripod. + [MOTION] has no effect when sensitivity is set to a fixed value, and may also be unavailable at some other combinations of settings. Choose [ON] to remove red-eye effects caused by the flash when shooting with Intelligent Face Detection. Red-eye reduction is performed only when a face is detected. Red-eye removal is not available with RAW images. [RED EYE REMOVAL] 002D0020 0032003200330020 002D
If [AE&AF ON WHEN PRESSING] is selected, exposure and /or focus will lock while the [AEL/AFL] button is pressed. If [AE&AF ON/OFF SWITCH] is selected, exposure and /or focus will lock while the [AEL/AFL] button is pressed and remain loc ked until the button is pressed again. [AE LOCK ONLY][AF LOCK ONLY] [AE/AF LOCK] Choose whether the [AEL/AFL] button locks exposure (AE), focus (AF), or both. The [AEL/AFL] button locks exposure only. [CONTINUOUS][RENEW] Adjust file-management settings. [FRAME NO.] [SAVE ORG IMAGE] [DATE STAMP] New pictures are stored in image files named using a four-digit file number assigned by adding one to the last file number used. Th e file number is displayed during playback as shown at right. [FRAME NO.] controls whether file numbering is reset to 0001 when a new memory card is inserted or the current memory ca rd or internal memory is formatted. Frame number Directory number File number Numbering continues from the las t file number used or the first available file number, whichever is higher. Choose this option to reduce the number of pictures with duplicate file names. Numbering is reset to 0001 after formatting or when a new memor y card is inserted. If the frame number reaches 999-9999, the shutter release will be disabled. Selecting [RESET] sets [FRAME NO.] to [CONTINUOUS] but does not reset the file number. + [OFF] Choose [ON] to save unprocessed copies of se amless panoramas or pictures taken using [RED EYE REMOVAL] , [PRO LOW-LIGHT MODE] , or [PRO FOCUS MODE]. Stamp the time and /or date of recording on photographs as they are taken. Stamp new photographs with the date and time of recording. Stamp new photographs with the date of recording. Do not stamp the time and date on new photographs. Time and date stamps can not be deleted. Turn [DATE STAMP] off to prevent time and date stamps appearing on new photographs. If the camera clock is not set, you will be prompted to set the clock to the current date and time. We recommend that you turn the D POF “print date” option off when printing images with a time and date stamp. Adjust settings for connection to wireless networks. [GENERAL SETTINGS] [RESIZE IMAGE FOR SMARTPHONE] [PC AUTO SAVE SETTINGS] Choose a name ([NAME]) to identify the camera on the wireless network (the camera is assigned a unique name by default) or select [RESET WIRELESS SETTINGS] to restore default settings. Choose [ON] (the default setting, recommend ed in most circumstances) to resize larger images to for upload to smartphones, [OFF] to upload images at their original size. Resizing applies only to the copy uploaded to the smar tphone; the original is not affected. Choose [DELETE REGISTERED DESTINATION PC] to remove selected destinations, [DETAILS OF PREVIOUS CONNECTION] to view computers to which the camera has recently connected.
