Choose oneofthe following optionsonthe screen: • Ifyou arescanning onlyonepage, clickSave File. • Ifyou need toscan additional pagesinadocument, clickAddpage .Place additional pageson the product forscanning, clickScan ,and repeat untilyouhave scanned allthe pages. Whenyou are finished, clickSave File. • Ifyou need todelete orreorder thescanned pages,clickEditpage .Delete orreorder thepages using theicons thatappear onthe bottom ofthe editing window. Whenyouarefinished, clickOK. Note: Ifyou installed anOCR (Optical Character Recognition) program,youmay seeascreen indicating theprogram isconverting yourpage totext. Wait untiltheprogram re-scans thepage and close theprogram, ifnecessary. 11. Click Close toexit theEPSON Scanwindow, ifnecessary. EPSON Scanscans youroriginal, andsaves thePDF fileinthe selected folderoropens itin your scanning program.Ifthe filewas saved directly toyour computer, youseethefileinthe Windows Explorer orMac OSXFinder, whereyoucanview andprint thedocument, ifdesired. Removing andInstalling InkCartridges Make sureyouhave yourreplacement cartridgeshandybefore youbegin. Youmust install new cartridges immediately afterremoving theoldones. Caution: Leaveyouroldcartridges inthe printer untilyouareready toreplace themtoprevent theprint head nozzles fromdrying out.Donot open inkcartridge packages untilyouareready toinstall theink. Cartridges arevacuum packedtomaintain reliability. 1. Turn onyour product. 2. Liftupthe scanner unit. Caution: Donot move theprint head byhand; otherwise, youmay damage yourproduct. Donot touch theflatwhite cable inside theprinter. 3. Press thestopbutton. • Ifa cartridge islow orexpended, theprint head moves thatcartridge tothe indicator position. Press thestopbutton againtocheck foradditional loworexpended cartridges. Whenall cartridges havebeen identified, theprint head moves tothe replacement position. 109
• Ifno cartridges arelow orexpended, theprint head doesnotmove. Ifyou want toreplace a cartridge beforeitis low orexpended, pressthestopbutton for6seconds. Theprint head moves tothe replacement position. 4. Squeeze thetabonthe cartridge andliftthe cartridge straightuptoremove it. Note: Dispose ofused cartridges carefully.Donot take theused cartridge apartortry torefill it. Warning: Ifink gets onyour skin, wash itthoroughly withsoap andwater.
