    2. Click the Show details arrow to open an extension at the 
    bottom of the EPSON Monitor IV dialog. 
    3. Select Urgent, Normal, Hold, or Print Time from the Priority 
    pull-down menu.
    Sharing Your Printer
    This section describes how to share your printer so that other 
    computers on a network can use it.
    The computer on a network can share the printer that is directly 
    connected to one of them. The computer that is directly connected 
    to the printer is the printer server, and the other computers are 
    the clients which need permission to share the printer with the 
    printer server. The clients share the printer via the printer server.
    Note:
    To connect your printer directly to a network without setting it up as a 
    shared printer, consult your network administrator.

    Setting up your printer as a shared printer 
    To share a printer connected directly to your computer with other 
    computers on an AppleTalk network, follow the steps below.
    1. Turn on the printer.
    2. Select Chooser from the Apple menu and click the printer’s 
    icon. Select the port to which the printer is connected.
    3. Click Setup. The Printer Sharing Setup dialog appears.
    4. Select Share this Printer, and type the printer name and 
    password information as needed.

    5. Click OK. The name of the shared printer appears in the port 
    list in the Chooser.
    6. Close the Chooser.
    Accessing the shared printer
    To access the shared printer from another computer on the 
    network, follow the steps below.
    1. Turn on your printer.
    2. On each computer from which you want to access the printer, 
    select Chooser from the Apple menu. Click your printers 
    icon and select the printer port you want to use from the Select 
    a printer port box on the right. You can only select from the 
    printers connected to your current AppleTalk zone.

    printer, then click OK.
    4. Select the appropriate Background Printing option button to 
    turn background printing on or off.
    5. Close the Chooser.
    Uninstalling the Printer Software
    To uninstall the printer driver, follow the steps below.
    1. Turn on your computer and insert the printer software 
    CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The Epson printer software 
    disk opens automatically.
    2. Find the English folder, and double-click it.
    3. Double-click the Printer Driver folder.
    4. Double-click the EPSON STYLUS PRO XXXX folder, and Disk 
    1 folder in it.
    5. Double-click the Installer icon, and follow the on-screen 
    instructions to open the Installer dialog.
    6. Select Uninstall from the pull-down menu at the top left, and 
    click the Uninstall button at the bottom right.

    Printer Software Introduction
    The printer software which comes with your printer includes a 
    printer driver and printer utilities. The printer driver lets you 
    choose from a variety of settings to get the best results from your 
    printer. The printer utilities help you check the printer and keep 
    it in top operating condition.
    The printer software includes the following dialogs.

    Format for, Paper Size, Orientation, Scale
    Custom Paper Size setting:
    Paper Size, Printer Margins
    Summary setting:

    Accessing the Printer Software
    To access the printer software installed in your computer, follow 
    the steps below.
    Accessing the Page Setup dialog
    To access the Page Setup dialog, click Page Setup on the File 
    menu of your application.
    Print Common in all options:
    Printer, Presets
    Copies & Pages option:
    Copies, Collated, Pages
    Layout option:
    Pages Per Sheet, Layout Direction, Border
    Output Options option:
    Save as File, Format
    Print Settings option:
    Media Type, Color, Mode

    Accessing the Print dialog
    To access the Print dialog, click Print on the File menu of your 
    application.
    Accessing the Utility dialog
    To access the Utility dialog, double-click the EPSON Printer Utility 
    icon in the Applications folder in Macintosh HD (default 
    setting).
    Page Setup Dialog Settings
    You can make the appropriate Settings, Format for, Paper Size, 
    Orientation, and Scale settings for printing.
    Note:
    The Page Setup dialog is a standard feature of Mac OS X. See your 
    operating system’s documentation for details.

    Settings
    You can select Page Attributes, Custom Paper Size, or 
    Summary.
    Page Attributes
    Displays the page setup settings.
    Custom Paper Size
    Displays the paper size settings.
    Summary
    Displays the list of current setting items.
    Format for
    Select a desired printer.
    Note:
    Always match the Format for setting in the Page Setup dialog with the 
    Printer setting in the Print dialog; otherwise, the data may not be printed 
    correctly.
    Paper Size
    Select a paper size and a print area that you want to use.
    For Mac OS X 10.2.0 to 10.2.3 users, the print area is listed after 
    Paper Size in the Paper Size list.
    For Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later users, the print area is listed when 
    you click the arrow mark next to the Paper Size you have selected.

    When you select a paper size that supports a print area other than 
    Standard, you can select the print area. If you cannot select the 
    print area, it is set to Standard.
    The following table lists the print areas you can select.
    Orientation
    Select a printing orientation.
    Printer Description
    Roll  Paper Prints on roll paper with 3-mm margins 
    in four directions.
    Roll Paper - Borderless (Auto 
    Expand)Prints data enlarged on roll paper 
    without margins.
    Roll Paper - Borderless (Retain 
    Size)Prints data on roll paper without 
    margins, while retaining the ratio of 
    the original size.
    Roll Paper - Banner Prints multi-page data on roll paper 
    continuously with 3-mm left and right 
    margins and 0-mm top and bottom 
    margins.
    Roll Paper - Borderless Banner Prints multi-page data on roll paper 
    continuously without margins.
    Sheet Prints on cut-sheet paper with 14-mm 
    bottom margin, and 3-mm top, left 
    and right margins.
    Sheet - Borderless (Auto Expand) Prints data enlarged on cut-sheet 
    paper with 3-mm top margin, 14-mm 
    bottom margin, and 0-mm left and 
    right margins.
    Sheet - Borderless (Retain Size) Prints data on cut-sheet paper with 
    3-mm top margin, 14-mm bottom 
    margin, and 0-mm left and right 
    margins, while retaining the ratio of

    Scale
    Input a scale to reduce or enlarge the size of your data.
    Print Dialog Settings
    You can make the appropriate Printer and Presets settings use for 
    printing.
    Note:
    The Print dialog is the standard feature of Mac OS X. See your operating 
    system’s documentation for details.
    Printer
    Select a printer you want to use.
    Note:
    Always match the Format for setting in the Page Setup dialog with the 
    Printer setting in the Print dialog; otherwise, data may not be printed
