71 Replacing the Retard Roller TEMPERATURE WARNING The inside of the scanner can become very hot after continuous operation. Do not touch the scanning glass and metallic portions of the retard roller directly. Be sure to allow sufficient cooling before performing cleaning or replacement. 1Slide the roller cover from the left to the center while opening it. 2Raise the securing lever for the retard roller toward you, and slide it to the left. 3Remove the retard roller. 4Install the new retard roller....

Replacing the Feed Roller 1Lift the securing lever for the feed roller forward. 2Slide the securing lever for the feed roller to the left. 3Lower the feed roller toward you while removing it from the left. 4Remove the feed roller. 5Attach the right joint of the new feed roller.

73 6Attach the left side of the feed roller, and slide the securing lever for the feed roller to the right. 7Raise the feed roller toward the back until the securing lever clicks into place.
