IfyourcomputerisrunningWindowsVistaSP1oralaterversion,youcaninstalltheXPSprinterdriverin
additiontothenormalprinterdriver.
TheXPSprinterdriverissuitedtoprintingfromapplicationsoftwarethatsupportsXPSprinting.

CommonlyUsedSettings Thenamesandiconsoffrequentlyusedprintingprofilesareregistered.Whenyouselectaprintingprofileaccordingtothepurposeofthedocument,settingsthatmatchthepurposeareapplied. Inaddition,functionsthatarethoughttobeusefulfortheselectedprintingprofilearedisplayedin
AdditionalFeatures .
Youcanalsochangeaprintingprofileandregisteritunderanewname.Youcandeletetheregistered
printingprofile.
YoucanrearrangetheprofileseitherbydraggingtheindividualprofilesorbyholdingdowntheCtrlkey
andpressingtheupordownarrowkeys.
Standard Thesearethefactorysettings.
If PageSize ,Orientation ,andCopies weresetfromtheapplicationsoftware,thosesettingshave
priority.
PhotoPrinting Ifyouselectthissettingwhenprintingaphoto,thephotopaperandphotosizegenerallyusedare
set.
If Orientation andCopies weresetfromtheapplicationsoftware,thosesettingshavepriority.
BusinessDocument Selectthissettingwhenprintingageneraldocument.
If PageSize ,Orientation ,andCopies weresetfromtheapplicationsoftware,thosesettingshave
priority.
PaperSaving Selectthissettingtosavepaperwhenprintingageneraldocument.The 2-on-1Printingand
DuplexPrinting(Manual) checkboxesarecheckedautomatically.

Thewidthofprintareaandtheamountofextensionthatareconfiguredinotherapplication
softwarewillbereversedverticallyandhorizontally.
Color/IntensityManualAdjustment Selectwhenyousetthe ColorCorrectionmethodandindividualsettingssuchas Cyan,Magenta ,
Yellow ,Brightness ,Intensity ,andContrast ,etc.
MediaType Selectsatypeofprintingpaper.
Selectamediatypethatmatchesthepaperthatisloadedintheprinter.Thisensuresthatprintingis
carriedoutproperlyforthespecifiedpaper.
PrinterPaperSize Selectsthesizeofpaperactuallyloadedintotheprinter.
Normally,thepapersizeissetautomaticallyaccordingtotheoutputpapersizesetting,andthe
documentisprintedwithnoscaling.
Whenyouset 2-on-1Printing or4-on-1Printing inAdditionalFeatures ,youcanmanuallysetthe
papersizewith PageSizeonthePageSetup tab.
Ifyouselectapapersizethatissmallerthanthe PageSize,thedocumentsizewillbereduced.Ifyou
selectapapersizethatislarger,thedocumentsizewillbeenlarged.
Alsoifyouselect Custom...,the
CustomPaperSizedialogbox opensandallowsyoutospecifyany
verticalandhorizontaldimensionsforthepapersize.
Orientation Selectstheprintingorientation.
Iftheapplicationusedtocreateyourdocumenthasasimilarfunction,selectthesameorientationthat
youselectedinthatapplication.

PrintQuality Selectsyourdesiredprintingquality.
Selectoneofthefollowingtosettheprintqualitylevelthatisappropriateforthepurpose.
Tosettheprintqualitylevelindividually,clickthe Maintab,andfor PrintQuality ,selectCustom .The
Set... becomesenabled.Click Set...toopenthe
Customdialogbox ,andthenspecifythedesired
settings.
High Givesprioritytoprintqualityoverprintingspeed.
Standard Printswithaveragespeedandquality.
Draft Thissettingisappropriatefortestprinting.
PaperSource Showsthesourcefromwhichpaperissupplied.
RearTray Paperisalwayssuppliedfromthereartray.
Copies Specifiesthenumberofcopiesyouwanttoprint.Youcanspecifyavaluefrom1to999.
