10-5 Machine Settings Setting Menu MACHINE SETTING Setting Item Description 1 TONER SAVING Sets whether to save toner consumption. 2 TONER EMPTY STOP Sets whether to stop printing when toner has run out. 3 LANGUAGE Sets the language for LCD. 4 BUZZER VOLUME Sets volumes for machine beeps in four levels. CALLING Sets the calling volume. KEY Sets the keypad volume. ALARM Sets the alarm volume. LINE VOL Sets the line monitor volume. 5 DAYLIGHT SAVING Sets whether to follow the daylight saving time. PAPER SOURCE SETUP Setting Item Description 1 CASSETTE PAPER Sets the paper type and size. (See “Setting Paper Type and Size,” on p. 3-7.) TEL REGISTRATION Setting Item Description 1 1-TOUCH SPD DIAL Registers recipient’s name, number, subaddress, and password for one-touch speed dialing. (See “Registering One-Touch Speed Dialing,” on p. 4-7.) 2 CODED DIAL Registers recipient’s name, number, subaddress, and password for coded speed dialing. 10-6 Machine Settings TX SETTING Setting Item Description 1 SCAN CONTRAST Sets scan contrast. (See “Contrast,” on p. 4-3.) 2 IMAGE QUALITY Sets default image quality. (See “Image Quality,” on p. 4-4.) 3 HEADER Sets whether to show header on each page sent. 4 AUTO REDIAL Sets the number of times and the interval between automatic redialing. (See Chapter 1, “Advanced Fax Features,” in the Advanced Guide.) RX SETTING Setting Item Description 1 MEMORY RX MODE Sets whether to store received faxes in memory at what time, with password protection if required. (See Chapter 1, “Advanced Fax Features,” in the Advanced Guide.) 2 INCOMING RINGS Sets whether the machine is to ring for how many times before it answers a call. 3 REDUCTION RX Sets whether to reduce or truncate the image when a faxed page is larger than the size of paper loaded. ON Reduces the image to fit on the size of paper loaded. OFF Retains the original size of the image. CUT Truncates the image. 4 RX PRINT Sets whether to store all received pages in memory before printing them out or print each page as it is received. MEMORY RX Print after all the pages of the document are received. PRINT RX Print each page as it is received.
