Output Tray Types
This printer has two output trays: face-down output tray and face-up output tray.
Do not switch the output tray during printing. This may result in misfeeds.
CAUTION
Keep your hands or clothing away from the roller in the output area. Even if the 
printer is not printing, sudden rotation of the roller may catch your hands or 
cl othing, resulting in personal injury.

When outputting Legal size paper or other long-size paper to the face-down output 
tray, open the face-down output tray support to prevent the paper from hanging out 
of the tray. When you use the face-down output tray support, gently open it until it 
stops.
IMPORTANT
•Do not touch the paper during automatic 2-sided printing until it is com\
pletely output to

Face-up Output Tray
Printed paper is output to the face-up output tray on the rear of the printer unit with 
the printed side facing up. The face-up output tray is suitable to print 
transparencies, labels, or envelopes which tend to curl, since the printed paper is 
output flattened.
IMPORTANT
•Be sure to close the face-up output tray before performing automatic 2-sided printing.

To switch to the face-up output tray, open the face-up output tray a, and then pull 
out the extension tray

Printing from the Paper Cassette
The paper cassette can be loaded with plain paper (64 to 80 g/m2), heavy paper 
(90 to 120 g/m2) at sizes of A4, B5, A5, Legal, Letter, Executive, and Custom Size. 
When the paper cassette runs out of paper,  appears in the 
display, or the Paper Source indicator blinks indicating the status. Refill the 
cassette.
