Volume and Voice Speed Settings4-15 4 Customizing Settings Volume and Voice Speed Settings You can set the volume and speed of Voice Navigation messages. NOTE •The default settings for the voice volume and speed are 0 (Standard). •Voice guide is available for this setting.

Minus 1 is slightly lower than the standard volume setting, and -4 is the lowest setting. As the indicator moves to the right, the volume increases from +1 to +4. Example: If the indicator is in the middle (the Standard setting), and you press (Next), the indicator moves to the right. The voice guide will say, Plus 1. You can also adjust the volume using and . (See Control Panel, on p. 1-6.) ❑ Press (Con firm). The voice guide announces that the Voice Guide Volume and Speed screen is displayed.

There are 11 speed levels (from -5 to +5). As the indicator moves to the left, the speed decreases. As the indicator moves to the right, the speed increases.
