Paper Feeding Problems
Paper does not load.
The multi-purpose tray may contain too many sheets.
❑Make sure the paper stack in the multi-purpose tray does not exceed the paper 
limit mark ( ) (see page 2-9).
Paper may not be loaded correctly.
❑Make sure the paper stack is loaded properly in the multi-purpose tray, and 
that the paper guide is adjusted correctly (see page 2-9).
Paper is loaded skewed. (Printing is skewed.)

You cannot send a fax.
The MultiPASS may have overheated.
❑Unplug the unit and let it cool for several minutes. Then plug the unit back in 
and try sending again.
The MultiPASS may not be set for the type of telephone line in use (pulse/tone).
❑If you have a pulse line, make sure the MultiPASS is set for pulse dialing. (If 
you are using the Fax Setup Utility, see the MultiPASS Desktop Manager

MODE, confirm that an answering machine is connected to the MultiPASS 
and that it is turned on with an outgoing message properly recorded.

and have them make sure the top cover and scanning glass on their fax

The MultiPASS will not make a copy.
A BJ tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge may be empty.

You may be trying to make copies with the incorrect BJ cartridge installed in 
the unit.
❑The MultiPASS cannot make copies in black & white while the BC-22e Photo
