Select the destination E-mail application program f rom the pull down 
list.
Click on the Link Preferences butt on to configure the Send To 
E-mail options. You can select the File type and Quick Send E-mail 
address list.

3. Select Scan Settings.
You can select the scanner set tings from each of the Scan Type 
options for the Custom buttons. You have t he option to select Color 
Mode, Resolution,  Paper Size and Bright ness and Contrast  settings.

MFC Remote Setup
The MFC Remot e Setup application lets you set up your MFC by 
using the ease and speed of programming on your PC. When you 
access this application, the settings on your MFC will be downloaded 
to your PC and displayed on your computer screen. I f you change the 
sett ings, you can upload them directly to the MFC.
OK button
When you click OK, the process of uploading the data to the MFC

Print button
The  Pr int butt on prints the selected it ems on the MFC. You cannot 
print  the MFC Remote Setup changes until you click t he Apply 
button to upload t he new data t o the MFC. Then you can click the 
Pr in t butt on to get an up-to-date printout.

Click the Export button to save your current settings to a file.
Import button
Click the Import but ton to read the settings from your saved file into 
the MFC Remote Setup screen.

PC-FAX sending
The Brother PC-FAX feat ure lets you send a file from your PC.
You can create a file in any application on your PC, and then send it 
as a PC-FAX. You can even attach a cover page note.
All you have to do is set up the receiving parties as Members or 
Groups in your PC-FAX Address Book. Then you can use the 
Address Book Search feature to quickly find t hem t o address your 
fax.

Setting up user information
1From the Start menu, select Programs, Brother, 
Brother MFL-Pro Suite, and t hen select PC-FAX Setup.
The Brother PC-FAX Setup dialog box will appear:

Sending setup
From the Brot her PC-FAX Setup dialog box, click the Sending t ab 
to display the screen below.
The include header option sends an additional page of information 
along with fax or E-mail data which contains user and subject 
informat ion.
The user has t he choice of two user int erfaces: Simple style or 
Facsimile style. To change the user interface select  the int erface 
setting you want: Simple style or Facsimile style.

Outside line access
If you need to ent er a number to access an outside line, enter it here.  
This is sometimes required by a local PBX t elephone system (for 
example, if you must dial 9, to get an outside line in your office).
Include header
To add header information to the top of the f ax pages you send, 
check the Include header box.

Speed-Dial setup
From the Brother PC-FAX Setup dialog box, click the Speed Dial 
tab. (To use this f eature you must select  the Facsi mile Style user 
interface.)
You can register a Member or Group on each of the t en Speed-Dial 
buttons.
To register an address in a Speed-Dial button:
1Click the Speed-Dial button you want to program.
2Click the Member or G roup you want t o store on the Speed-Dial 
button.
3Click Add >> to save it.
To clear a Speed-Dial button:...
