Replacing the Fuser unit
WARNING
Turn the power switch off, unplug the AC power cord and allow the printer to cool for at least 30 
minutes before replace the fuser unit.
Follow the procedure below to replace the fuser unit.
1Push up button B (1) and fully open the front cover 
(2).
2Push the lever on left side of the paper outlet cover 
and open the paper outlet cover

3Push and slide forward the switches on both sides 
of the fuser unit.
4Lift the levers on both sides of the fuser unit.
5Hold the levers on both sides as you remove the 
fuser unit from the printer carfully.
6Unpack a new fuser unit and lift the levers on both 
sides (1). Grip the lever and install the fuser unit into 
the printer gently placing pin into the guides.

7Push down the levers on both sides of the fuser unit. 
8Push and slide backward the switches on both sides 
of the fuser unit.
9Close the paper outlet cover.
10Close the front cover.

Printing the printer configuration list allows you to check what options are installed on the printer and 
printer network settings.

Checking the Print Log
Use the control panel to print the print log. The print log is a report of the last 22 print jobs received by 
the printer. Use it to check whether the jobs were printed normally or not.
When Auto Log Print in the 1:System m e n u  i s  s e t  to  Yes, the print log is printed automatically every 
22 print jobs (Default: No). For more details, see List of Menu Items on page 4-6.

Cleaning the Printer
We recommend that you clean the printer at least once a month to keep it in good working condition and 
to maintain print quality.
Caution
Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet/socket before cleaning the 
printer. Failure to turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord may result in an electric shock.

Transporting the Printer
Before transporting the printer, follow the procedure below:
Caution
■To prevent injuries, this printer should be lifted by at least two people.
■To lift the printer, face the front of the printer and grip the recessed areas at the bottom left and 
right with both hands. 
Never try to lift the printer by gripping any other areas. Lifting the printer by gripping other areas 
can cause the printer to fall, resulting in...

2Disconnect the power cord, interface cable, and any 
other cables.
WARNING
Never touch a power cord with wet hands. This 
constitutes an electric shock hazard.
