    							For some apps, when you install the app, you are prompted to accept or decline all of the requested 
    permissions. If you decline, the prompt will appear again the first time you open the app. You canht 
    change the application permissions later unless you delete and reinstall the app.
    Changeorviewapppermissions
    For some apps, if you turn off permissions, the app might not work as you expect. If an app isnt working 
    as you expect it to, consider turning on some or all of the app permissions.
    The Run When Minimized application permission setting lets an app continue performing tasks after you 
    minimize the app on your 
    BlackBerry device.To help extend the life of your battery, consider turning off 
    the Run When Minimized permission for apps on your device.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > SecurityandPrivacy > ApplicationPermissions.
    tTo view permissions for a particular app, tap an app.
    tTo view which apps use a particular permission, in the Permissions drop-down list, tap the 
    permission.
    3.To turn on or turn off a permission, tap the switch.
    4.Restart your device for the change to take effect.
    AboutBlackBerryGuardian
    Feel safe and secure when you download apps and games from BlackBerry World with BlackBerry 
    Guardian
    .
    BlackBerry Guardian evaluates all apps and games in BlackBerry World before theyhre made available 
    for downloading. 
    BlackBerry Guardian is designed to protect you from downloading apps and games 
    that might include malicious software or privacy concerns. The 
    BlackBerry Guardian icon in the 
    BlackBerry World storefront indicates that the app or game has been evaluated for malicious software or 
    privacy concerns.
    BlackBerry Guardian also incorporates technology from software security leader Trend Micro. 
    BlackBerry Guardian is constantly evolving to help identify the most advanced forms of malicious 
    software and privacy concerns.
    If malicious software is discovered in an app or game after iths available, the app or game is removed 
    from 
    BlackBerry World.
    UsingParentalControls
    Parental Controls are designed to give you more control over how a BlackBerry device can be used and 
    contacted. You can turn off access to certain apps, features, and content. You can also restrict 
    incoming phone calls and messages to people in the Contacts app.

    							Parental Controls settings are protected with a password, making them difficult to change or turn off 
    without your knowledge. You can set your device so that the Parental Controls password is required to 
    add an email or social networking account, or to purchase an app from the 
    BlackBerry World storefront.
    Note:If BlackBerry Balance technology is turned on, the Parental Controls feature is not available.
    Restrictorlimitaccesstofeaturesandcontent
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > SecurityandPrivacy > ParentalControls.
    3.Turn on the ParentalControls switch.
    4.Enter the Parental Controls password.
    5.Change the options.
    Importacertificatefromyourcomputer
    1.Do one of the following:
    tTo import the certificate using a USB connection, connect your BlackBerry device to your 
    computer using a USB cable. If necessary, on your computer, enter your device password.
    tTo import the certificate using a Wi-Fi connection, on your device, swipe down from the top of the 
    home screen. Tap 
     Settings > StorageandAccess. Turn on the AccessusingWi-Fi switch. 
    Type a storage access password. Tap 
    IdentificationonNetwork and make note of the 
    Username.
    2.On your device, on the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    3.Tap Settings > About.
    4.In the Category drop-down list, tap Network.
    5.In the Wi-Fi or USB section, make note of the IPv4address.
    6.On your computer, navigate to and copy a certificate file.
    tIf your computer uses a Windows operating system, in a Run command, type the IP address in the 
    following format: \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
    tIf your computer uses a Mac operating system, select Go > ConnecttoServer. Type the IP 
    address in the following format: smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
    7.Do one of the following:
    tIf your computer uses a Windows operating system, open the media=downloads folder. If 
    necessary, enter the username and storage access password.
    tIf your computer uses a Mac operating system, open the media/downloads folder. If necessary, 
    enter the username and storage access password.
    8.Paste the certificate into the media=downloads or media/downloads folder.
    9.On your device, tap  > SecurityandPrivacy > Certificates > Import.

    							10.Follow the instructions on the screen.
    PasswordKeeper
    You can use the Password Keeper app to store all your passwords, usernames, and security questions 
    in one place. If you want a password that is difficult to guess, you can also use 
    Password Keeper to 
    generate random passwords that contain numbers, letters, and symbols.
    Password Keeper is designed to encrypt your passwords to protect them. When you enter your 
    password for the 
    Password Keeper app, the passwords that you store in the app are decrypted so you 
    can see them.
    Transferpasswordrecords
    To transfer password records, you must first back up the password data as part of the backup file  during the device switch process, or export the password records to a backup file.
    If you saved the backup file to a media card, insert the media card into your new BlackBerry device. If 
    you didnht save the backup file to a media card, you can use 
    BlackBerry Link to transfer the records.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  > ImportPasswords.
    3.Complete the instructions on the screen.
    Storepasswordrecordsinthecloud
    If you store password records in the cloud, you donht need to transfer records when you switch 
    BlackBerry devices. When you sign in to your new device using your BlackBerry ID and the same 
    Password Keeper password that you used on your old device, the records appear in the Password 
    Keeper
     app.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap .
    3.Turn on the CloudSynchronization switch.
    To delete password records stored in the cloud, tap DeleteCloudRecords. Password records are 
    deleted only from the cloud and not from your device.
    Managepasswordrecords
    In the Password Keeper app, do any of the following:
    tTo add a record, tap . Enter the required information. Tap Save.
    tTo edit a record, tap the record. Tap . Edit the information. Tap Save.
    tTo copy a record, touch and hold a record. Tap .

    							tTo make a record a favorite, touch and hold a record. Tap . Favorites appear at the top of your 
    password records.
    tTo see the password history, tap a record. Tap More.
    tTo delete a record, touch and hold a record. Tap .
    Tip:You can multiselect records that you want to delete by tapping .
    Useapasswordrecordtologintoawebsite
    Make sure the password record that you want to use has the information for the Website, Username, 
    and Password fields.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, tap a password record.
    2.Tap Open.
    3.If the OpenWebsite dialog box appears, tap PasswordKeeper.
    4.If the webpage isnht the login webpage, go to the login webpage and tap  > InsertLoginInfo.
    Tip:To use the current webpage as the website for this password record, tap  > SetasWebsite.

    1.Browse to a website or open an application and select the text you want to share with Password 
    Keeper

    2.Tap  > .
    3.Tap PasswordKeeper.
    4.Add any additional information to your new record.
    5.Tap Save.

    CAUTION:If you forget the password for Password Keeper, it canht be recovered.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  > ChangePasswordKeeperPassword.
    3.Complete the instructions on the screen.

    1.In the Password Keeper app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Do any of the following:
    tTo lock Password Keeper manually, tap .

    							tTo change when Password Keeper locks automatically, tap . Turn on or turn off any of the Lock
    switches.
    SearchPasswordKeeper
    1.In the Password Keeper app, tap .
    2.Start typing the title, username, website name, or notes you are searching for.
    3.Tap the appropriate password record.
    You can add a new record by tapping AddtoPasswordKeeper.
    Createsecurityquestionsandanswers
    You can create and store security questions and answers in your password records so that you donht have to remember the specific questions and answers that you set up on individual websites.
    Tip:For an answer thaths more difficult to guess, Password Keeper can generate a random answer for 
    you.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, add a new record or select an existing record. Tap .
    2.On the Add or Edit screen, tap .
    3.Select a question from the list or create a personalized question by tapping .
    4.Enter your answer or tap GenerateanAnswer.
    5.Tap Save.
    Scanpasswordsforsecurityrisks
    You can scan your Password Keeper passwords for weak, common, or vulnerable passwords.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, tap .
    2.Tap ScanNow.
    3.Tap a flagged password record to learn more about the risk associated with it.
    To make a password more secure, change the password in Password Keeper and on the associated 
    website.

    If you turn off the copy feature, you must enter your passwords and usernames manually.
    1.In the Password Keeper app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap .
