The operation of the various pieces of 
equipment for the STRATA XII & XX electronic 
key telephone systems will be described in this 
section. The DSS and EKTs are specially designed 
units incorporating, as standard features, handsfree 
answering and full speakerphone capabilities. Each 
DSS and EKT is connected to the system using 
industry standard 2-pair wiring.

programmed period of time.
