SANYO’s TopazReal® video processing combines with a new 
optical engine to deliver a breathtaking contrast ratio of 2000:1  
The motorized lens iris adjusts automatically according to ambient 
light conditions in 63 increments from 100% down to 60% 
REAL 10-BIT DIGITAL VIDEO PROCESSING The ultra-quiet PLV-Z3 features full 10-bit video processing of 
both luminance and RGB signals.  The result is a high-quality 
connection with noticeably richer, more detailed color offering four 
times the picture information found in comparable projectors. 
INNOVATIVE NEW REACT IMAGE MODE Lamp output is adjusted automatically to optimize contrast and 
reduce video noise. Choose from five preset modes based on 
ambient lighting conditions.  Seven additional preset modes 
customize display characteristics according to program content. 
PROGRESSIVE SCANNING w/3-2  PULLDOWN 
TECHNOLOGY 
This HDTV-compatible projector is ideal for motion picture 
display.  It offers progressive scanning with 3-2 pulldown 
technology and innovative processing technique that converts 
film’s frame rate for jitter-free, high definition digital video 
playback. 
EASY SET-UP & ADJUSTMENT The PLV-Z3 is simple to set-up and use.  A pair of front panel 
controls adjust the lens vertically and horizontally to project a 
geometrically accurate and undistorted picture.  Its short focal 
length zoom lens makes it possible to throw a beautiful 100” 
(diag.) image from less than 10-feet away (will also work with 
less than four feet of space).
 
EXTENSIVE INPUT CONNECTIONS 
A full complement of input terminals, including a digital HDMI 
interface, two sets of component video inputs as well as composite 
video and S-video connections provide extensive flexibility.  You 
can even connect your PC via the D-sub 15 input. 
NEW FULLY-ILLUMINATED REMOTE CONTROL 
Everything is right at your fingertips and easy to find, thanks to 
the PLV-Z3’s fully-illuminated remote control.  This makes it 
easy to start and stop programming or adjust the display in a
