◀▶ English ■ Self Diagnosis OMENU m → Support → ENTER E NSelf Diagnosis might take few seconds, this is part of the normal operation of the TV. ●Picture Test (Ye s / No): Use to check for picture problems. ●Ye s : If the test pattern does not appear or there is noise in the test pattern, select Yes. There may be a problem with the TV. Contact Samsung’s Call Centre for assistance. ●No: If the test pattern is properly displayed, select No. There may be a problem with your external equipment. Please check your connections. If the problem persists, refer to the external device’s user manual.
◀▶ English ●Sound Test (Ye s / No): Use the built-in melody sound to check for sound problems. NIf you hear no sound from the TV’s speakers, before performing the sound test, make sure Speaker Select is set to TV Speaker in the Sound menu. NThe melody will be heard during the test even if Speaker Select is set to External Speaker or the sound is muted by pressing the MUTE button. ●Ye s : If you can hear sound only from one speaker or not at all during the sound test, select Yes. There may be a problem with the TV. Contact Samsung’s Call Centre for assistance. ●No: If you can hear sound from the speakers, select No. There may be a problem with your external equipment. Please check your connections. If the problem persists, refer to the external device’s user manual.

◀▶ English ■ Software Upgrade Software Upgrade can be performed via a broadcasting signal or by network connection or downloading the latest firmware from “www. samsung.com” to a USB memory device. Installing the Latest Version ●By USB: Insert a USB drive containing the firmware upgrade file, downloaded from “www.samsung.com,” into the TV. Please be careful not to disconnect the power or remove the USB drive until upgrades are complete. The TV will be turned off and on automatically after completing the firmware upgrade. When software is upgraded, video and audio settings you have made will return to their default settings. We advise you to to write down your settings so that you can easily reset them after the upgrade. TV Rear Panel ● The displayed image may differ depending on the model.
◀▶ English ●By Online: Upgrade the software using the Internet. NFirst, configure your network. For detailed procedures on using the Network Setup, refer to the “Network Connection” instructions. NIf the internet connection doesn’t operate properly, the connection may be broken. Please retry downloading. If the problem persists, download by USB and upgrade. ●By Channel: Upgrade the software using the broadcasting signal. NIf the function is selected during the software transmission period, software will be automatically searched and downloaded. NThe time required to download the software is determined by the signal status.

NIf the software was changed, existing software is displayed. ●Standby Mode Upgrade: A manual upgrade will be automatically performed at selected time. Since the power of the unit is turned on internally, the screen may be turned on slightly for the product.
