❑ Changing the Preset Sound Modes ■ Sound Mode O MENU m → Sound → Sound Mode → ENTER E Use the ▲/▼ buttons to select an option, and then press ENTER E. ●Standard: Selects the normal sound mode. ●Music: Emphasizes music over voices. ●Movie: Provides the best sound for movies. ●Clear Voice: Emphasizes voices over other sounds. ●Amplify: Increase the intensity of high-frequency sounds to allow a better listening experience for the hearing impaired. NIf Speaker Select is set to External Speaker, Sound Mode is disabled. English $#
❑ Adjusting Sound Settings ■ Sound Effect O MENU m → Sound → Sound Effect → ENTER E (standard sound mode only) Use the ▲/ ▼ buttons to select an option, and then press ENTER E. ●DTS TruSurround This function provides a virtual 5.1 channel surround sound experience through a pair of speakers or headphones using HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) technology. ●DTS TruDialog This function allows you to increase the intensity of a voice over background music or sound effects so that dialog can be heard more clearly. ●Equalizer Use Equalizer to customize the sound setting for each speaker. Balance: Adjusts the balance between the right and left speaker. 100Hz / 300Hz / 1kHz / 3kHz / 10kHz (Bandwidth Adjustment): Adjusts the volume level of specific bandwidth frequencies. Reset: Resets the equalizer to its default settings. NIf Speaker Select is set to External Speaker, Sound Effect is disabled. English $#

■ Speaker Settings O MENU m → Sound → Speaker Settings → ENTER E ●Speaker Select If you are listening to the sound track of a broadcast or movie through an external receiver, you may hear a sound echo caused by the difference in decoding speed between the TV’s speakers and the speakers attached to your audio receiver. If this occurs, set the TV to External Speaker. NWhen you set Speaker Select to External Speaker, the TV’s speakers are turned off. You will hear sound through the external speakers only. When you set Speaker Select to TV Speaker, both the TV’s speakers and the external speakers are on. You will hear sound through both. English $#
NWhen Speaker Select is set to External Speaker, the VOLUME and MUTE buttons will not operate and the sound settings will be limited. NIf there is no video signal, both the TV’s speakers and the external speakers will be mute. ●Auto Volume Normal equalizes the volume level on each channel, so that when you change channels, the volume level is the same. Night equalizes and decrease the volume level on each channel, so each channel is quieter. Night is useful at night, when you may want to keep the volume low. NTo use the volume control on a source device connected to the TV, set Auto Volume to Off on the TV. Otherwise, there may be no change in the volume when you adjust the volume control on the source device. English $#
■ Digital Audio Out O MENU m → Sound → Digital Audio Out → ENTER E Digital Audio Out outputs an uncompressed digital audio signal when you connect the digital audio out jack on the back of the TV to a digital audio in jack on a receiver or home theater. ●Audio Format: You can select the Digital Audio output format. The available Digital Audio output format may differ depending on the input source. NBy connecting the TV to a receiver or home theater with Dolby Digital and 5.1ch speakers and selecting Dolby Digital, you can maximize your interactive 3D sound experience. English $#
●Audio Delay: Lets you correct timing mismatches between the audio track and the video when you are watching the TV and listening to digital audio output from the TV through an external device such as an AV receiver. When you select Audio Delay, a slider appears. Use the ◄/ ► buttons to adjust the slider, from 0ms ~ 250ms. Press ENTER E when done. English $#
