    3-6 Product Operating Buttons
    Product Operating Buttons
     The buttons are located on the bottom of the product. 
    IconDescription
    MENU/ Press this button to view the On Screen Display (OSD).
    This button is also used to exit the OS
    D or to return to a higher-level OSD menu
    * Key Lock
    This function locks the bu ttons on the front of the product to prevent the current  settings from 
    being changed by others.
    Lock: Press and hold the MENU button for 5 seconds. The key lock mode will be enabled.
    Unlock: Press and hold the MENU button for 5 seconds when the key lock is enabled. The key 
    lock mode will be disabled.
     When the key lock mode is enabled, all t he buttons on the front of the product are 
    disabled.
     
    Press the button at least 2sec to connect to the host PC in Client mode. In order to turn the 
    host PC off, press the button more than  2 sec, being connected to the host PC.
    ▲/▼ Adjust items in the menu. 
    When OSD is not on the screen, pus h the button to adjust volume.
     
    /SOURCE Use this button to select a function
    Press [ /SOURCE] to select the video signal from a connected device while the OSD is off. 
    (When the [ /SOURCE] button is pressed to change the input mode, a message appears in 
    the upper left of the screen 
    displaying the current mode).
    AUTO / In  mode, this button is used for auto ad
    justments. In  mode, it is used to dis-
    connect from the server.
    Press this button to turn the product on or off

    Controls the screen brightness.

     COLOR
    MagicBrightProvides preset picture settings optimized fo r various user environments such as editing a document, 
    surfing the Internet, playing games,  watching sports or movies and so on.

    If the preset picture modes are not sufficient, you can conf igure the  and  
    directly using this mode.

    This mode provides the picture settin g appropriate for editing a document.

    This mode provides the picture setting appropri ate for surfing the Internet (text + picture).

    This mode provides the picture sett ing appropriate for playing games that include lots of graphics and 
    that require a fast screen refresh rate.

    This mode provides brightness and sharpness se ttings similar to those of a TV for the best 
    entertainment environment (movie, DVD, etc.).

    Controls the picture contrast aut omatically so that bright and dark pictures are balanced overall.
    CoarseRemoves vertical noise lines  (line pattern) from the screen.
    The location of the screen may be changed after the  adjustment. In this case, move the screen so 
    that the screen is displayed at  the center of the display panel using the  menu.
     This function is only available in analog mode. 
    FineRemoves horizontal noise lines  (line pattern) from the screen.
    If you cannot remove the noise completely with  the  function, adjust the  and then 
    use the  function again.
     This function is only available in analog mode.

    MagicColorExpresses natural colors more clearly without c hanging the picture quality by using proprietary digital 
    picture quality improvement technology  developed by Samsung Electronics.
    •  - Turns the MagicColor function off.
    •  - You can compare the pictures processed by MagicColor with the original pictures.
    •  - Provides a clearer picture including areas corresponding to skin color.
    •  - Improves the chroma of pictures except for areas corresponding to skin color.
    Red You can adjust the red color value according to your preference.
    This menu is unavailable when  is set to  mode or  mode.
    Green You can adjust the green color value according to your preference.

    Blue You can adjust the blue color value according to your preference.

    Color Tone You can set the color temperature according to your preference.
    •  - Sets the color temperatur e of the screen to a cooler color.

    •  - Sets the color temperature of the screen to a warmer color.

    If you do not like the preset co lor temperatures, you can manually adj ust the colors of .

    Color Effect You can change the overall atmos phere by changing the color of pictures.

    Gamma Using this menu, you can change the in tensity of the colors of medium brightness.

    H-PositionMoves the position of the di splay area on the screen horizontally.
     This function is only available in analog mode. 
    V-PositionMoves the position of the di splay area on the screen vertically.

    Image Size•  - The picture is displayed at the aspect ratio of the input signal.
    •  - The picture is displayed in full screen r egardless of the aspect ratio of the input signal.
     • A signal not in the standard mode table is not supported.
    • If the resolution is set to the optimal resolu tion, the aspect ratio does not change whether the

     Menu H-Position You can adjust the  horizontal position of the OSD.
    Menu V-Position You can adjust the vertical position of the OSD.

    4 Installing the Software
    4-1 PCoIP
    On Screen Display (OSD) 
    The On Screen Display (OSD) local GUI (Portal only) is displayed to the user when the device is powered on and a PCoIP 
    session is not in progress. The OSD prov ides a mechanism to connect to a host device via the Connect Screen. The Connect 
    Screen is presented to the user on startup.
    The Connect Screen also allows access to the Options Window. The Options Window provides a  subset of the functionality 
    provided by the Administrative Web Interface described in  Section 1. The Options Window is accessible through the   
    button on the Connect Screen. An administrative  password is required to change Portal options.

    The Connect Screen is shown on startup except when the Portal has been configured for a managed start-up or auto-reconnect.
    The logo displayed above the  button can be changed by  uploading a replacement image via the Administrative Web 
    Interface.

    Selecting the Connect button initiates a PCoIP or RDP se ssion, depending on the session settings. While the PCoIP 
    connection is pending, the OSD local GUI will display a “Connecti on Pending” message. When the connection is established, 
    the OSD local GUI will disappear and be replaced with the session image.

     Window
    The  window allows the administrator to access window tabs with settings that define how the Portal operates 
    and interacts with its environment.
    The tabs in the  window are:

    Each tab has , , and  but tons that allow the administrator to accept or cancel the setting changes made on 
    the tab.
     Some PCoIP devices have password protection disabled and  do not require a password to login into the administration 
    webpages or access the OSD parameters.  Password protecti on for the Log In page and OSD can be enabled through 
    PCoIP Management Console. 
     
     Tab
    The  tab allows an administrato r to set the Portal network parameters.
     The Network parameters can also be configured using the Webpage Administration Interface. 
      Configuration
    •  When  is enabled, the device will contact a DH CP server to be assigned an IP address, subnet mask, 
    gateway IP address and DNS servers. Wh en disabled, the device requires these parameters to be set manually. 
    •  The IP Address field is the device’s . If DHCP is disabled, this field is required. If DHCP is enabled, this field 
    is not editable. This field must be a valid IP address, and  if an invalid IP address is entered, the OSD will prompt the 
    administrator to correct it.
    •   The  field is the device’s subnet mask. If DHCP is  disabled, this field is required. If DHCP is enabled, this 
    field is not editable. This field must be a valid subnet mask,  if an invalid subnet mask is entered, the OSD will prompt the Figure 2-4:
