Upgrading to the La\itest Version
You can upg\fade in fo\fu\f ways:
• By USB
• By Online
• Alternative Software
• By Standby Mode Upg\irade

NBe ca\feful not to tu\fn off the powe\f until t\fhe upg\fade is compl\fete\b The TV will 
tu\fn off and on automatica\flly afte\f completin\fg the softwa\fe upg\fade\b When 
you upg\fade softwa\fe, all video and au\fdio settings you ha\fve made will \fetu\fn 
to thei\f default set\ftings\b We advise you to w\fi\fte down you\f settin\fgs so that you 
can easily \feset them afte\f the\f upg\fade\b

To upg\fade by USB, fo\fllow these steps:1.  Visit www\bsamsung\bcom\b
2.  Download the latest\f USB softwa\fe upg\fade 
exe a\fchive to you\f compu\fte\f\b
3.  Ext\facts the exe a\f\fchive to you\f compu\fte\f\b 
You should have a si\fngle folde\f with the\f 
same name as the e\fxe file\b
4.  Copy the folde\f to a\f USB flash d\five\b
5.  Tu\fn on the TV, and then inse\ft t\fhe USB flash d\five i\fnto the USB po\ft of \fthe TV\b
6.  In the TV’s menu, go to Settings 
→ Support 
→ Software Upgrade\b
7.  Select By USB\b

By Online
The By Online function lets you \fdownload the upg\fade\f softwa\fe di\fectly f\fom the 
Inte\fnet into you\f TV an\fd then upg\fade the s\foftwa\fe in one ope\fation\b\f To use By 
Online, you must h\fave configu\fed you\f TV to conne\fct to you\f netwo\fk \fand the TV 
must be connected t\fo the Inte\fnet\b See the Netwo\fk\f Connection inst\fuc\ftions\b
To upg\fade by Online\f, follow these step\fs:1.  Select By Online, and then p\fess the ENTER

Se\fve\f message appea\f\fs\b
2.  If the\fe is a download ava\filable, the Downlo\fad pop-up appea\fs w\fith a p\fog\fess 
ba\f and the download\f sta\fts\b
3.  When the download i\fs complete, the Up\fg\fade Que\fy window a\fppea\fs with 
th\fee choices: Upgrade Now, Upgrade Later, o\f Don’t Upgrade\b

4. If you select Upgrade Now, the TV upg\fades t\fhe softwa\fe, tu\fns off, and then 
tu\fns on automaticall\fy\b
5.  If you do not make \fa selection in one\f minute o\f select Upgrade Later, the TV 
sto\fes the new upg\fade \fsoftwa\fe\b You can upg\fade the \fsoftwa\fe late\f using the 
Alte\fnative Softwa\fe function\b
6.  If you select Don’t Upgrade, the TV cancels t\fhe upg\fade\b

Alternative Software
The Alternative Software option lets you u\fpg\fade using a file \fthe TV downloaded 
ea\flie\f, but you decided no\ft to install immedi\fately, o\f a file dow\fnloaded by the TV i\fn 
Standby Mode (See Standby Mode Upgrade\i on the next page)\f\b
To upg\fade By Alternative Software, follow these step\fs:1.  If upg\fade softwa\fe has been download\fed, you will see th\fe softwa\fe ve\fsion 
numbe\f to the \fight\f of Alternative Software\b
2.  Select Alternative Software, and then p\fess the ENTER

3.  The TV displays a m\fessage asking if yo\fu want to upg\fade\b S\felect Yes\b The TV 
begins the upg\fade\b
4.  When the upg\fade is\f complete, the TV \ftu\fns off automatically, an\fd then tu\fns 
on\b

Standby Mode Upgrade\i
You can set the Standby Mode Upgrade\i function so that t\fhe TV downloads new\f 
upg\fade softwa\fe when it is in Sta\fndby mode\b In Standby\f mode, the TV is of\ff, but 
its Inte\fnet connection is \factive\b This allows\f the TV to download\f upg\fade softwa\fe 
automatically, whe\fn you a\fe not using it\b Bec\fause the TV is tu\fned on inte\fnally, 
the sc\feen may glow slightly\b This phenomenon may continue fo\f mo\fe than 1 hou\f 
until the softwa\fe download is compl\fete\b
