This information file ( .inf) should be \ installed in order that your Philips monitor can be enabled from the Monitor dialog box in Windows®\ 95/98/2000/Me/XP and the Plug & Play application can be activated. The installation proce\ dure based on Windows® 95 OEM Release 2 , 98 , Me, XP and 2000 is specified as fol\ lows. For Windows® 95 1. Start Windows® 95 2. Click on the Start button, point to Settings, and then click on Con\ trol Panel. 3. Double click on the Display Icon. 4. Select the Settings tab then click on Advanced.... 5. Select the Monitor button, point to Change... then click on Have Di\ sk.... 6. Click on the Browse... button, select the appropriate drive F: ( CD-R\ OM Drive) then click on the OK button. 7. Click on the OK button then select your monitor model and click on OK\ . 8. Click on the Close button. For Windows® 98 1. Start Windows® 98 2. Click on the Start button, point to Settings, and then click on Con\ trol Panel. 3. Double click on the Display Icon. 4. Select the Settings tab then click on Advanced.... 5. Select the Monitor button, point to Change... then click on Next 6. Select Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you\ can choose the driver you want. then click on Next and then click on Have Disk.... 7. Click on the Browse... button, select the appropriate drive F: ( CD-R\ OM Drive) then click on the OK button. 8. Select your monitor model and click on the Next button. 11. Click on the Finish button then the Close button. If you can see the Digital Signature Not Found window, click on the Y\ es button. For Windows® Me 1. Start Windows® Me 2. Click on the Start button, point to Settings, and then click on Con\ trol Panel. 3. Double click on the Display Icon. 4. Select the Settings tab then click on Advanced.... 5. Select the Monitor button, then click on Change... button. 6. Select Specify the location of the driver(Advanced) and click on the\ Next button. 7. Select Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you\ can choose the driver you want, then click on Next and then click on Have Disk.... 8. Click on the Browse... button, select the appropriate drive F: ( CD-R\ OM Drive) then click on the OK button. 9. Click on the OK button, select your monitor model and click on the Ne\ xt button. 10. Click on Finish button then the Close button. For Windows® XP 1. Start Windows® XP 2. Click on the Start button and then click on Control Panel. 3. Select and click on the category Printers and Other Hardware 4. Click on the Display Item. 5. Select the Settings tab then click on the Advanced button. 6. Select Monitor tab - If the Properties button is inactive, it means your monitor is prope\ rly configured. Please stop installation. - If the Properties button is active, click on Properties button. This is a feature in all Philips LCD monitors. It allows an end user to \ adjust screen performance of the monitors directly through an on-screen instruction window. All Philips monitors are designed and manufactured to high standards and\ deliver high-quality performance, ease of use and ease of installation. Should y\ ou encounter any difficulties while installing or using this product, pleas\ e contact the Philips helpdesk directly to benefit from your Philips F1rst Choice Warr\ anty. This three-year service warranty entitles you to a swap model on-site if your\ monitor turns out to be faulty or defective. Philips aims at a swap within 48 ho\ urs of your call being received. What is covered? The Philips F1rst Choice Warranty applies within Andorra, Austria, Belgi\ um, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembo\ urg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the United\ Kingdom and only for monitors originally designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized f\ or usage within these countries. Warranty coverage begins as from the day you buy your monitor. For three years thereafter, your monitor will be swapped by at least an equivalent monitor in case of def\ ects provided for under the warranty coverage. The swap monitor remains yours and Philips keeps the defective/original \ monitor. For the swap monitor the warranty period remains equal to that of your original monit\ or, being 36 months as from the purchase date of your original monitor. What is excluded? The Philips F1rst Choice Warranty applies provided the product is handle\ d properly for its intended use, in accordance with its operating instructions and upon presentation\ of the original invoice or cash receipt, indicating the date of purchase, dealers name and model a\ nd production number of the product.
