Search System is ... Each time a recording is made, an invisible index mark is placed on the tape. When timer recordings are made, program index and information are also included. These index marks can be used to access or scan recordings. 2 Press AUDIO repeatedly (each press within 5 seconds) to select desired mode. • Select “HIFI (L/R),” to listen to a regular Hi Fi Stereo recording. Select “HIFI (L)” or “HIFI (R)” to listen only to the left or right channel of a stereo recording. This is commonly used for Karaoke, music on one channel and vocal on the other. Select “NORMAL” for linear stereo playback from a recorded tape with Hi Fi disabled. • This screen appears when you press AUDIO during playback. 1 See the “Playback a Tape” section on page 32 to playback the tape. Use during Playback and Slow Motion mode to reduce picture noise. Press CH xz on the Remote Control or the unit until the picture clears up. To return to Auto Tracking, press POWER off, then on again a few seconds later. In Still mode, CH xz operate as a V-Lock control to reduce jitter.
