44 Installing USB Driver When the USB driver is installed, the SD Multi AV Device will be recognized by the personal computer. Do not connect the USB cable until the USB driver has been installed. ≥Please read [Read before you install] before installing the USB Driver. 1Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the personal computer’s CD-ROM drive. ≥The launcher for installation is activated automatically. 2Click [USB Driver]. 3Click [Finish]. ≥After rebooting the computer, the USB driver is activated. Installing SD-MovieStage Ve r. 2. 0 1Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the personal computer’s CD-ROM drive. ≥The launcher for the installation is activated automatically. 2Click [SD-MovieStage Ver.2.0]. ≥When [SD-MovieStage Ver.2.0] screen appears, click [Next]. 3Read License Agreement carefully, and click [Yes], if you accept the terms of the agreement. 4Complete the installation according to the message. ≥When the DirectX 8.1 setup screen appears, install it according to the message. 45 Installing SD-Jukebox Ve r. 3. 0 1Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the personal computer’s CD-ROM drive. ≥The launcher for the installation is activated automatically. 2Click [SD-Jukebox Ver.3.0]. ≥When [Welcome] screen appears, click [Next]. ≥If the confirmation whether you have the right to administrate the personal computer is displayed, click [OK] and continue with installation. 3Read License Agreement carefully, and click [Yes], if you accept the terms of the agreement. 4Enter your name and the serial No. described on the CD-ROM casing and click [Next]. 5Complete the installation according to the message. ≥When the setup screen for the Media Format 7.1 is displayed, install the Media Format 7.1 according to the message. ≥When the DirectX 8.1 setup screen appears, install it. 47 Disconnecting the USB Cable safely If you use Windows XP/2000, remove the USB Cable using the following method. If you use Windows Me/98SE, check that the Card Access Lamp is out, then remove the USB Cable. (Keep the SD Multi AV Device turned on.) 1Double click the in task tray. ≥Hardware disconnect dialog box appears. 2Select [USB Mass Storage Device] and click [Stop]. 3Click [OK]. ≥Click [OK], and you can safely disconnect the cable. If you no longer need software (Uninstall) 1Select [Start] (>>[Settings]) >>[Control Panel]. 2Double-click [Add/Remove Programs]. 3Select the software to be uninstalled and click [Change/Remove]. ≥Uninstalling steps may vary depending on the OS. 48 Constructing a Folder when the Memor y Card is used with a PC ≥When the Memory Card with data recorded by the SD Multi AV Device is inserted into a personal computer, folders will be displayed as in the figure. ≥Use the SD-MovieStage Ver.2.0 for operating files in the Memory Card. [DCIM]: The images (IMGA0001.JPG etc.) in this folder are recorded in the JPEG format. ([100-0001] or similar indication is displayed on the SD Multi AV Device.) [MISC]: Files in which DPOF Data has been set to the image are in this folder. Slide show data created by SD- MovieStage Ver.2.0 are in this folder. (AUTPLAY0.MRK etc.) [SD_VIDEO]: MPEG4 moving picture is recorded in ASF format (MOL001.ASF etc.). It can be played back with Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. Because of small size, this File is well suited for transmitting data through a telephone line etc. [SD_VOICE]: Folder in which the voice data (e.g., MOB001.VM1) files are stored. [SD_AUDIO]: Folder in which the music data (e.g., AOB001.SA1) files recorded by the SD-Jukebox Ver.3.0 (supplied accessory) are stored.
49 REC OFFPLAY Others Charge the built-in batter y for maintaining the date information This built-in battery is used for the memory of date and time. If [PRESS MENU TO SET CLOCK] is displayed when the power is on, the built-in battery may be exhausted. Charge using the following procedure: 1Take the battery out and plug in the AC adaptor. ( l10) 2Turn the power off and leave the SD Multi AV Device as it is for approx. 12 hours. ≥After recharging the built-in battery, adjust the date and time.
