Contact your dealer if a problem cannot be solved even after checking and trying the solution or if the problem is not described below. When using the setup software •The number of the registered recorders already reached the maximum possible number. Delete an unnecessary recorder and register a recorder newly. •The number of the registered encoders already reached the maximum possible number. Delete an unnecessary encoder and register an encoder newly. •The number of the registered groups already reached the maximum possible number (400 groups). Delete an unnecessary group and register a group newly. •The number of the registered sequences already reached the maximum possible number (10 sequences). Delete an unnecessary sequence and register a sequence newly. •Some of marks used for the camera title may not be displayed correctly. Otherwise, some functions may not work correctly. Refer to these operating instructions (PDF) for further information about download of the device information. Cause/solution • Isn’t OFF selected for MPEG-4 transmission on the setup menu of the camera in use? Select ON for MPEG-4 transmission. Refer to the operating instructions of the camera for how to configure the settings. • The settings for the device login user are not configured correctly. This software accesses each device and users can log in to each device as a device login user registered for each user. Check if the settings for the device login user are config- ured correctly. – 45 • The recorder is currently being configured using HDD DISK MENU, or the SD memory recording is being per- formed. Live images will be displayed when the configuration or the SD memory recording is completed. • It may be necessary to format the hard disk of the recorder. Check the status of the recorder by accessing directly to the recorder from the web browser. Reference pages – – Symptom No live image is displayed. • Connection between the recorder and the camera may be disconnected or a network trouble may be occurred. Check the connection. – –Live image is not being refreshed. No image is displayed when the sequence display is being performed.
70 Cause/solutionReference pagesSymptom • When load of the connected device is heavy, images to be displayed in the sequence display may be a black screen. This black screen may sometimes disappear by setting the dwell time of the sequence display longer. • A black screen may be displayed at a switching moment of the sequence display. This symptom can sometimes be solved by adjusting Sequence Changing Sleep Time. (The last image dis- played before switching to the next image in the sequence display will be kept on being displayed for the time set for Sequence Changing Sleep Time instead of a black screen.) The following are the descriptions of how to adjust Sequence Changing Sleep Time. 1. Confirm that this software is closed, and then open constants.xml using a text editor. When this soft- ware has been installed by the standard installation, constants.xml is in the following directory. C:\Program Files\Panasonic\ASM10\aplxml 2. Search SequenceChangingSleepTime. 3. Edit 0 part of value=0. The unit is ms. Example: When editing as value=1000, the sequence changing sleep time will be 1 second. 4. Overwrite and save the file after completing the edit. * Do not edit any other part than 0 part of value=0 of the file. – – No image is displayed when the sequence display is being performed. • When displaying images on a multi-screen, a black screen may be displayed instead of images of the sequence display. This black screen may sometimes disappear by setting the dwell time of the sequence display longer. –
