    Starting Up
    1. Select Start – All Programs – Panasonic – WJ-
    SX650 Series – WJ-SX650 Series Administrator
    Console x.xx. (x.xx is the version number.) Then, run
    the program.
    WJ-SX650 Series Administrator Console will start up,
    and the login window will be displayed on the PC
    screen.
    Note:When you select WJ-SX650 Series Administrator
    Console x.xx (x.xx is the version number.) while
    holding down the Ctrl key on the PC keyboard, the
    language selection window will appear. (Keep hold-
    ing down the Ctrl key until the window appears.)
    After you select a language and clicking the OK
    button, the login window will be displayed in the
    selected language.
    2. Enter the user name and password. The factory default
    is as follows.
    User Name:admin
    Password:sx650
    3. Click OK. WJ-SX650 Series Administrator Console
    window is displayed.
    4. To download setting data from the unit, click on the icon
    pointed in the illustration. Download window will be
    displayed.
    5. Click on Start Download. The setting data will be
    downloaded from the unit to the PC.
    Note:Refer to p. 29 PC Connection for how to connect
    the unit and PC.
    6. When download is complete, a message window is dis-
    played. Then, click OK. System – Recorder is dis-
    played.
    Note:If you upload the setting data from the PC to the
    unit while SETUP MENU is open on a monitor,
    SETUP MENU will be closed forcibly. Settings per-
    formed in SETUP MENU will be canceled and
    replaced by those uploaded from the PC.
    Window Details
    Tool Bar
    q:Downloads the current setup data of the unit to
    the PC.
    w:Uploads the setup data (configured in WJ-SX650
    Series Administrator Console) from the PC to the
    unit.
    e:Creates the initial settings.
    r:Opens the file in which the setup data was saved.
    t:Saves the setup data as a file.
    y:Opens the settings guidance window.
    u:Displays the information of video input board/out-
    put board.
    i:Displays the user settings page.
    o:Displays the settings page of SERIAL port.
    !0:Displays the version of WJ-SX650 Series
    Administrator Console.
    !1These buttons are clicked when setting categories are
    selected.
    !2Selects a tab screen.
    Setting menu and tab screen names are shown as fol-
    lows.

    This chapter explains about SETUP MENU (On-screen
    Display setup menu) of this unit.
    Basic Operations
    To control SETUP MENU, display SETUP MENU on a moni-
    tor.
    WV-CU950/650
    1. Select a desired monitor. (Refer to p. 57 Monitor
    Selection.)
    2. Press the MENU button repeatedly until System Setup
    appears on the LCD.
    3. Press the F1 button. SETUP MENU will be displayed on
    the selected monitor.
    WV-CU360C/CJ
    1. Select a desired monitor. (Refer to p. 57 Monitor
    Selection.)
    2. Press the SETUP button while holding down the SHIFT
    button.
    SETUP MENU will be displayed on the selected monitor.
    Top Menu
    When SETUP MENU is opened, the top menu is displayed
    on the monitor.
    Moves the cursor:Move the joystick. The cursor is highlight-
    ed when you point.
    Moves to the next/previous page (When the displayed menu
    has two or more pages):Move the cursor to the top or
    bottom. The next or previous page will be displayed on
    the monitor.
    Note:When using WV-CU950/650, you can perform this
    operation by rotating the shuttle ring or moving the
    zoom wheel controller.
    Changes the selected parameter:Rotate the JogDial, or
    press the + or – button.
    Enters the numeric parameters:Press the numeric buttons.
    To clear the numeric entry, press the CLEAR button.
    Moves to the lower menu:Move the cursor to a setting item
    which has an arrow mark, and then press the CAM
    (SET) button.
    Moves to the upper menu:Press the MON (ESC) button.
    Exits the SETUP MENU:When using WV-CU950/650, press
    the F2 button. When using WV-CU360C/CJ, press the
    SETUP button while holding down the SHIFT button.
    Notes: 
    •Sequence is stopped on monitors displaying SETUP
    MENU.
    •Alarms are not activated on monitors displaying SETUP
    MENU.

    ALARM
    You will perform the settings of alarms (terminal alarms,
    camera alarms, recorder alarms, serial alarms, and video
    loss).
    When you select ALARM on the top menu, the following
    menu is displayed.
    ALARM Menu
    • ALARM MODE
    Select the display pattern to display spot alarm pictures on
    the associated monitors. (The factory default is
    SEQUENCE.)
    SEQUENCE:Alarm pictures are sequentially displayed on
    the associated monitor. Select desired DWELL TIME
    from 1 to 30 sec. (The factory default is 2 sec.)
    LATEST:The latest alarm picture is displayed on the moni-
    tor.
    EARLIEST:The earliest alarm picture is displayed on the
    monitor.
    • AUTO RESET
    Select the period until an alarm is automatically reset. If you
    select OFF, you will reset the alarm manually. (The factory
    default is 30 sec.)
    OFF/1, 2... to 10 sec/20 sec/30 sec/1 min/3 min/5 min
    • TERMINAL ALARM
    Select ON or OFF to accept or not accept terminal alarm
    input signals. (The factory default is ON.)
    ON:Accepts terminal alarm input signals.
    OFF:Not accepts terminal alarm input signals.
    Note:If you select ON, you can move to the TERMINAL
    ALARM menu (refer to p. 50), and you can set the
    details on terminal alarm input signal.
    • CAMERA ALARM
    Select ON or OFF to accept or not accept camera alarm
    input signals. (The factory default is OFF.)

    Select a video input board from 1 to 8. (The factory default
    is 1.)

    Select the alarm contact type for each terminal alarm input
    signal. (The factory default is N.O.)

    RECORDER
    You will check the settings of DATA ports to connect
    recorders and CAMERA IN connectors to supply video
    input signals from recorders. When you select RECORDER
    on the top menu, the following menu is displayed.
    Note:Before the settings, check the system composition
    and refer to p. 30 Recorder Connection. 
    • RECORDER OUTPUT
    Select the video input board or external monitor to supply
    video input signals from recorders. Refer to p. 30 for con-

    played. DATA port setting is performed in the DATA PORT
    menu. (Refer to p. 52.)
    • CAM
    Camera input channel numbers to supply video input sig-
    nals from recorders are displayed. (When RECORDER
    OUTPUT is set to EXTERNAL MONITOR, - - is displayed.)
