RENs on a telephone line may result in the devices not
ringing in response to an incoming call. In most but not
all areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed five
(5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may
be connected to a line, as determined by the total

connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation
of this equipment does not disable your alarm
equipment. If you have questions about what will
disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone
    company or a qualified installer.
This equipment is hearing aid compatible as defined
by the FCC in 47 CFR Section 68.316.
When you hold the phone to your ear, noise might be
heard in your Hearing Aid. Some Hearing Aids are not
adequately shielded from external RF (radio

frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is
no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does cause

    – Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
    – Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
    – Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
    – Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Some cordless telephones operate at frequencies that
may cause interference to nearby TVs and VCRs. To
minimize or prevent such interference, the base of the
cordless telephone should not be placed near or on top
