131 Recording Optical Image Stabilizer Applicable modes: The camera detects jitter during recording and automatically corrects it, so you can record images with reduced jitter. • The interchangeable lens (H-FS14140) have O.I.S switch. St abilizer function is activated when the O.I.S switch of the lens is set to [ON]. ItemDescription of settings [] ([Normal])Vertical and horizontal shake are compensated for. [] ([Panning])Camera shake is corrected for up/down movements. This mode is ideal for panning (a method of taking pictures which involves turning the camera to track the movements of a subject which continues to move in a fixed direction). [OFF][Stabilizer] does not work. (This can be selected only when using a lens without the [O.I.S.] switch.) Preventing jitter (camera shake) When the jitter alert [ ] appears, use [Stabilizer], a tripod, the self-timer (P184) or the remote shutter (DMW-RSL1: optional) (P312). •Shutter speed will be slower part icularly in the following cases. 139 Recording Taking pictures by using the flash Applicable modes: ∫Open/Close the built-in flash Taking a picture using the flash becomes possible by opening the built-in flash. A To open the flash Press the flash open button. BTo close the flash Press the flash until it clicks. • Forcibly closing the flash can damage the camera. •The flash setting is fixed to [ Œ] while the flash is closed. •Be careful not to catch a finger when closing a flash bulb. ∫ The available flash range If the distance to the subject is close when taking a picture using a flash, part of the recorded image becomes dark because the light of flash is blocked by the lens or it becomes out of flash range. Check the distanc e to the subject when taking a picture. 140 Recording •The available flash range is an approximation.•This is the range when [ISO Limit Set] (P201) is set to [OFF]. •Do not bring the flash too close to objects or close the flash while it is activated. The objects may be discolored by its heat or lighting. •Do not close the flash soon after the flash is activated prior to taking pictures due to Forced ON/ Red-Eye Reduction etc. It causes a malfunction. •It may take time to charge the Flash if you repeatedly take pictures. Take a picture after the access indication disappears. •When you attach an external flash, it takes priority over the built-in flash. Refer to P310 for the external flash. Not available in these cases: • Recording a subject from too close, or without sufficient flash will not provide the appropriate level of exposure, and may result in a picture that is too white or dark. •You must wait a moment to take the next picture while the flash icon is blinking red indicating the flash is charging. •If recording a subject without sufficient flash, the White Balance may not be properly adjusted.•When you use certain lenses, light from the flash may be blocked or fail to cover the lens field of view, causing dark areas to appear in the resulting pictures. •The Red-Eye Reduction effect differs between peo ple. Also, if the subject was far away from the camera or was not looking at the first flash, the effect may not be evident. If [Highlight] of the [Custom] menu is set to [ON], regions of white saturation will blink black and white when you play back or use Auto Review. In this case, we recommend that you adjust [Flash Adjust.] (P145) in the minus direction and record the pictures again. •When taking pictures with flash with the lens hood attached, the lower portion of the photo may turn dark and the control of the flash may be disabled because the photo flash may be obscured by the lens hood. We recommend detaching the lens hood. DMC-G6PDF-VQT4Z78_eng.book 140 ページ 2013年4月25日 木曜日 午前10時5分
