Installation 81 —— Wall-mounting Kit (KX-B063) Before attempting installation of this wall-mounting kit, we strongly re\ commend consulting with the building facility nor manager, engineer, or architect. The installer needs to know the type of\ construction used for the wall intended for this installation and the location of wall studs. Selection of hardware is cr\ itical for safe wall-mounting, and dependent upon the nature of wall construction, installation should not occur until thi\ s consultation takes place. Procedure for KX-B063 Wall-mounting Kit Installation .Tools required: One (1) KX-B063 kit A minimum of eight (8) pieces of appropriate wall-support hardware (m\ olley, toggle, etc.) NOTE :THIS HARDWARE MUST BE LOCALLY PROCURED, IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE \ KIT. Drill (and drill bit of correct size) for hardware installation Screw driver (Both phillips (+) and slotted (-) will be required.)\ Tape measure Tape or thumb-tacks (2pcs) Bubble type level .Pre-requisites1. Before installation, make sure that the wall intended for installation i\ s capable of supporting flush-mounted. [ KX-BP800 is 103 kgf (227 Ibs). ] 2. The position of the intended installation is of adequate size for the se\ lected Panaboard. [ KX-BP800 is 1,575 mm X 1,524 mm (52 55).] 3. An outlet is within 3 m (910 4/32), and it is not located directly behind the Panaboard. n Accessories The package includes the parts noted below ; please confirm that all par\ ts are present before beginning installation. Eight screws for mounting the fixtures on the wall are not provided. Ple\ ase purchase the appropriate wall-mounting hardware (sold in stores). Refer to pages 83 and 84. 82 Wall-mounting Kit (KX-B063) nWall-mounting procedure 1Confirm that the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the prin\ t board. (Please refer to page 81.) 2Tape the wall-mounting template to the wall. B Do not use the template included in the wall-mounting kit (KX-B063), b\ ut rather the one included with the electronic print board (KX-BP800). B When taping the template to the wall, make sure it is level. Caution: The wall must be capable of supporting at least 1,005N [ 103 kgf (227 Ibs) ] for KX-BP800. 31. Drill holes in the wall for the wall-mounting fixtures. (8 holes tot\ al) 2. After removing the wall-mounting template, attach the wall-mounting f\ ixtures withthe appropriate wall-mounting hardware (two screws in each fixture). This hardware must be locally procured, it is not included in the kit. B Refer to the section Attaching the wall-mounting fixtures (pages 83 a\ nd 84) for drilling in the wall and attaching the mounting fixtures. Mount the print board. Installation 83 Wall-mounting Kit (KX-B063) nAttaching the wall-mounting fixtures The electronic print board must be mounted with the method most suited t\ o the material of the wall. Three methods are presented here. (Other options may be available in your area.) B Attaching to metal or concrete walls Stud plugs (sold in stores) are needed. Drill bit Metal or concrete wall Stud plug Insert a stud plug in each hole. Wall-mounting fixture Bolt Drill eight holes in the wall. For the correct hole size, refer to the instructions for the particular stud plugs used. Insert each bolt through a hole in the wall-mounting fixture and tighten until the wall-mounting fixture is securely fixed to the wall.
84 Wall-mounting Kit (KX-B063) BAttaching to plasterboard walls Split-wing toggles (sold in stores) are needed. Wall-mounting fixture Bolt Plasterboard split-wing toggle Arms Arms Insert each bolt through a hole in the wall-mounting fixture and into the hole in the wall beneath so that the arms of the split-wing toggle are horizontal. For the correct hole size, refer to the instructions for the particular split-wing toggles used. Tighten each bolt until the wall-mounting fixture is securely fixed to the wall. For the correct hole size, refer to the instructions for the particular wood screws used. After the arms expand, pull the wall-mounting fixture out until the arms of the split-wing toggle grip firmly into the wall. BAttaching to wooden walls Use wood screws (sold in stores).
