    Switch the setting when the external device is connected to the  terminal of the projector and the 
    image is not projected correctly.

    - D terminal of an external device (such as a 
    computer) is input to the  terminal via a conversion cable or similar cable.
    Select this item also when the signal output from the HDMI terminal of a computer or other device is 
    input to the  terminal.
    Note
     f The optimal setting varies depending on the output setting of the connected external device. Refer to the operating instructions of the 
    external device regarding the output of the external device.
     fThe signal level is displayed for 30 bits of input.
    Setting [EDID MODE]
    1) Press  as to select [HDMI IN].

    Set whether to display the input guide (input terminal name, signal name, and memory number currently selected) 
    in the position set in the [OSD POSITION].

    Note
     fClosed caption is a function that displays text information of video signals mainly used in North  America. Captions may not be displayed 
    depending on the connected devices or contents being played back.
     f [CLOSED CAPTION SETTING] can be selected only if NTSC or 480i 
    
    YC
    BCR signal is input. fIf [CLOSED CAPTION] is set to [ON], brightness of images may change depending on the external devices compatible with closed caption 
    function to be connected or contents to be used.
     fIf a closed caption signal of the selected mode is input, the security message set in the [SECURITY] menu  →

    Set the logo display when the power is turned on.

    [UNIFORMITY]
    Correct the brightness and color unevenness of the entire screen.
    Adjusting by each color

    [SHUTTER SETTING]
    The shutter function can be automatically enabled/disabled (shutter: closed/open) when the power is turned of f/
    on.
    Setting [STARTUP]
    1) Press  as to select [SHUTTER SETTING].

    Press the  button.
     fThe 
    
    [SHUTTER SETTING]  screen is displayed.

    [OPEN] Starts projection with the shutter function disabled (shutter: open) when the power is turned on.

    Setting [SHUT-OFF]

    [KEEP CURRENT STATE] When the projector is switched off, the projector turns into standby with the shutter status left as is.
    [OPEN] When the projector is switched off, the projector turns into standby with the shutter left opened.
    [CLOSE] When the projector is switched off, the projector turns into standby with the shutter left closed.
    [FREEZE]
    Freeze the projected image temporarily regardless of the playback of the external device.
    1)
     
    Press 
     as to select [FREEZE].
    2)
     
    Press the  button.
     fPress the  button to release.
    Note
     f [FREEZE] is displayed on the screen while freezing the image. fThe image may momentarily disrupted before stopping when the image is stopped by operating [FREEZE] while the moving image is 
    projecting.
    [WAVEFORM MONITOR]
    Use the input signals from a connected external device to display in a waveform. Check whether video output 
    (luminance) signal level is within the recommended range for the projector and adjust.

    “Select line (green)” Displayed in green waveform.
    “Select line (blue)” Displayed in blue waveform.
    Note
     fSetting is also available by [FUNCTION BUTT ON] (x   page   124). fThe waveform monitor cannot be displayed during [P
     IN P].
     fThe waveform monitor turns of
    
    f when [P IN P] is executed during waveform monitoring.
     fThe waveform monitor is not displayed when on-screen display is hidden (of f).
    Adjusting the waveform
    Project the luminance adjustment signal of a commercial test disk (0 % (0 IRE or 7.5 IRE) – 100 % (100 IRE)) and 
    adjust.
    Signal level

    1) Select “Select line (luminance)” on the waveform monitor .
    2)  
    Adjust black level.
     fUse [BRIGHTNESS] in the on-screen menu [PICTURE] to adjust the black level 0
    
      % of the video signal to

      % position of the waveform monitor.

    Adjust white level.
     fUse [CONTRAST] in the on-screen menu [PICTURE] to adjust the white level 100
    
      % of the video signal to

      % position of the waveform monitor.
    Adjusting red, green, and blue
    1) Set [COLOR TEMPERA TURE] to [USER1] or [USER2] (x   page   77).
    2)  
    Select “Select line (red)” on the waveform monitor
     .

    Adjust dark red areas.
     fUse [RED] in [WHITE BALANCE LOW] to adjust the black level 0
    
      % of the video signal to the 0   % position 
    of the waveform monitor.

    Adjust bright red areas.
     fUse [RED] in [WHITE BALANCE HIGH] to adjust the white level 100
    
      % of the video signal to the 100   % 
    position of the waveform monitor.

    Use the procedure for [RED] to adjust [GREEN] and [BLUE].
    Note
     f For DVI - D signal, HDMI signal, SDI signal, and DIGITAL LINK signal, confirm that the [SIGNAL LEVEL] setting is correct before adjusting 
    the black level. (SDI signal is supported only for PT- DZ780.)

    Each red, green, and blue color component can be removed.
