    Wi-Fi
    To send images, select [New Connection] , and select the method for sending them.
    Even after completing the connection, you can still change the  size of the images to be sent.

    ¢ Sending by [Send Images While Recording] is not available.
    •Some images may not be played back or sent depending on the dev ice.•For information on the playback of images, check the operating instructions of the destination

    Wi-Fi
    A picture can be automatically sent to a specified device every time you take it.
    •Since the camera gives priority  to recording, sending may take longer during the recording.
    •When connected with [Send Images While Recording], [ ] is 
    displayed on the recording screen, and [ ] is displayed while 
    sending a file.
    •If you turn off this unit or the Wi-Fi connection before sendin g is 
    complete, unsent pictures will not be resent.
    •You may not be able to delete files or use the playback menu wh ile 
    sending.
    •Motion pictures cannot be sent.
    Images can be selected and sent after recording.
    •
    Details of the playback menu [Print Set] settings will not be se nt.•Some images taken with a different camera may not be able to be  sent.•Images that have been modified or edited with a computer may no t be able to be sent.
    If you press [DISP.] after completing a connection, you can change the size of the images to be 
    sent.
    •
    The size in which motion pictur es will be sent cannot be change d.
    Divide the motion picture using [Video Divide]  (P118).

    [Size] Resize the image to send.
    [Original]:
    Send the image without changing the size.
    [Change]: You can select the picture size from [M] or [S].

    [Wi-Fi Setup] Menu
    For details on how to select the [Wi-Fi] menu settings, refer to P41 .
    Configure the settings required for the Wi-Fi function. [Wi-Fi Setup] cannot be changed when connected to Wi-Fi.
    1Select [Wi-Fi Setup] in the [Wi-Fi] menu, and press [MENU/SET].2Press  3/4  to select item, and press [MENU/SET].

    •If you are using the PC with standard settings, you do not need to change the workgroup.
    [Smart Transfer]—
    [PC Connection]
    You can set the workgroup.
    To send images to a PC, a connection to the same workgroup as t he 
    destination PC is required.
    (The default setting is “WORKGROUP”.)
    [Change Workgroup Name]:
    Enter the workgroup of the connecting PC.
    [Restore to Default]:
    Restores the default state.
    [Device Name]
    You can change the name of this unit.
    1Press [DISP.].
    2Enter the desired device name.

    section on  P90.

    •Make a copy of password.
    If you forget the password, you can reset it with [Reset Wi-Fi Settings] in the [Setup] menu, however 
    other settings will also be reset.
    •A “MAC Address” is a unique address that is used to identify ne twork equipment.
    •“IP Address” refers to a number that identifies a PC connected to a network such as the Internet. 
    Usually, the addresses for homes are automatically assigned by  the DHCP function such as a 
    wireless access point. (Example: 192.168.0.87)
    ¢ [Approved Regulations] is only available on the version DMC-ZS4 5P.
    ¢ [Regulations] is only available on the version DMC-ZS45PC.
    [Wi-Fi Password]
    To prevent incorrect operation or use of the Wi-Fi function by  a third 
    party and to protect saved personal information, it is recommen ded 
    that you protect the Wi-Fi function with a password.
    Setting a password will automatically display the password inpu t 
    screen when the Wi-Fi function is used.
    [Setup]:
    Enter any 4-digit numbers as the password.
    [Delete]
    [Network Address]Displays the MAC address and IP address of this unit.
    [Approved 
    Regulations]¢The technical compliance standard authentication number is 
    displayed.

    Playing Back Pictures on a TV Screen
    Pictures recorded with this unit can be played back on a TV screen.
    Preparations:
    Turn this unit and the TV off.
    1Connect the camera and a TV.
    •Check the directions of the connectors, and plug them straight  in or unplug them straight out.
    (It may result in malfunction by the deforming of the terminal  if it is plugged in obliquely or in 
    wrong direction.)
    Do not connect devices to incorrect terminals. Doing so may cau se malfunction.
    •Confirm the terminals on your TV and use 
    a cable compatible with the terminals.
    Image quality may vary with the

    •Use a “High Speed HDMI micro cable” with the HDMI logo.

    •Some playback functions are restricted.•[Playback] menu, [Setup] menu, and [Wi-Fi] menu cannot be used.

    2Turn on the TV and select the input to match the terminal in use.
    3Turn the camera on and then press [(].
    •Depending on the [Picture Size], black bands may be displayed on  the top and bottom or the left and 
    right of the pictures.
    •Change the screen mode on your TV if the picture is displayed w ith the top or bottom cut off.•Output from the HDMI micro cable has priority when both AV cabl e (optional) and HDMI micro cable 
    are connected.
    •The connection with the USB connection cable (supplied) will ta ke priority when you connect the 
    USB connection cable (supplied) simultaneously with the HDMI mi cro cable.
    •When you play back a picture vertically, it may be blurry.•When pictures are displayed, they may not be displayed properly depending on the type of TV.•If you perform Multi Playback or Playback Zoom on a TV screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9, images 
    may appear distorted when you play them back.
    •No sound is output from the camera speakers. Also, pictures are not displayed on the monitor.•When the camera is connected to the TV with an AV cable, motion  pictures recorded in [FHD] or 
    [HD] are not displayed in the FHD or HD picture quality.
    •Read the operating instructions for the TV.
    To connect with an AV cable (optional)
    D AV cable (optional)
    E Yellow: to the video input socket
    F White: to the audio input socketGInsert the AV cable so that its [ ] mark 
    will face the [ ] mark side of the 
    camera.
    •Always use a genuine Panasonic AV  cable (DMW-AVC1: optional).•Check the [TV Aspect]. (P49)•[Wi-Fi] menu cannot be used.
    The recorded still pictures can be played back on a TV with an  SD Memory Card slot.
    •Depending on the TV model, pictures may not be displayed on the  full screen.•The file format of the motion pictures that can be played back differs depending on the TV model.•In some cases, panorama pictures cannot be played back. Also, a uto-scroll playback of 
    panorama pictures may not work.
    •For cards compatible with playback, refer to the operating inst ructions of the TV.

    Connecting to other equipment
    Saving still pictures and motion pictures on your 
    PC
    You can transfer the pictures in the camera to a PC by connecting the camera and the PC.
    •Some PCs can read directly from the card removed from the camera. For details, refer to the 
    operating instructions of your PC.
    •If the computer being used does not support SDXC Memory Cards, a message prompting you 
    to format may appear.
    (Doing so will cause recorded images to be erased so do not cho ose to format.)

    ∫ PC that can be used (OS)
    The unit can be connected to any PC capable of recognizing a mass storage device.
    ∫ Playback and editing on a PC
    Software for image playback or editing is not supplied with this product.
    To play back or edit still pictures or to play back motion pictures, use the following software:
    Software for still pictures
    Software for motion pictures
    (Software supporting MP4 format is required.)

    1Connect the computer and camera with the USB connection cable 
    (supplied).
    •Please turn this unit on and your PC before connecting.•Check the directions of the connectors, and plug them straight in or unplug them straight out.
    (Otherwise the connectors may bend out of shape, which may cause malfunction.)
    •Do not use any other USB connection cables except the supplied  one or a genuine 
    Panasonic USB connection cable (DMW-USBC1: optional).
    2Press 4 to select [PC], and then press [MENU/SET].
    3Drag and drop files and fold ers in the camera to the PC.
    •When the image transfer is complete, disconnect the USB connect ion cable safely.
    •If the remaining battery power becomes low while the camera and  the PC are communicating, the 
    alarm beeps.
    Disconnect the USB connection cable safely. Otherwise, data may  be destroyed.
    •Before inserting or removing a card, turn the camera off and disconnect the USB connection cable. 
    Otherwise, data may be destroyed.

    ∫About the folder structure of the camera
    The content (folder structure) of the built-in memory of the ca mera/the card is displayed on a 
    PC as follows:
    •
    A new folder is created when pictures are taken in the followin g situations.
    –When a card containing a folder with the same folder number has  been inserted (Such as when 
    pictures were taken using another maker of camera)
    –When there is a picture with file number 999 inside the folder
    ∫ Connection in the PTP Mode
    Select [PictBridge(PTP)] when connecting USB connection cable.
    •
    When there are 1000 or more pictures on a card, the pictures ma y not be imported in the PTP Mode.

    Printing the Pictures
    If you connect the camera to a printer supporting PictBridge, you can select the pictures to be 
    printed out and instruct that printing be started on the camera’s monitor.
    •
    Some printers can print directly from the card removed from the  camera. For details, refer to the 
    operating instructions of your printer.
    Preparations:
    Turn on the camera and the printer.
    Remove the card before printing the pictures from the built-in  memory.
    Check print quality and other settings on the printer before pr inting the pictures.
    1Connect the printer and camera with the USB connection cable 
    (supplied).
    •Check the directions of the connectors, and plug them straight  in or unplug them straight out.
    (Otherwise the connectors may bend out of shape, which may cause malfunction.)
    •Do not use any other USB connection cables except the supplied  one or a genuine 
    Panasonic USB connection cable (DMW-USBC1: optional).
    2Press 3 to select [PictBridge(PTP)], and then press [MENU/SET].
    •If the remaining battery power b ecomes low while the camera and  the printer are connected, the 
    alarm beeps. If this happens during printing, stop printing at  once. If not printing, disconnect the USB 
    connection cable.
    •Disconnect the USB connection cable only after you turn off the camera.
    •Do not disconnect the USB connection cable while [ å] (Cable disconnect prohibit icon) is displayed.
    (May not be displayed depending on the type of printer used)
    •Before inserting or removing a card, turn the camera off, and d isconnect the USB connection cable.
    •Motion pictures cannot be printed out.
