    2Operate the smartphone/tablet.
    You can acquire location information from a smartphone/tablet, and write it on images 
    afterwards.
    •
    For details on how to acquire and send location information with a smartphone/tablet, refer to [Help] 
    in the “Image App” menu.
    •You can write location information sent from a smartphone/tablet on images by using [Location 
    Logging] in the [Playback] menu of the camera.  ( P 111 )
    •Cautions for Use:
    Be sure to pay special attention to the privacy, the likeness rights, etc. of the subject when 
    you use this function. Use at your own risk.
    •If you have changed the clock setting of this unit or the smartphone/tablet after [Time sync], perform 
    [Time sync] again.
    •On the smartphone/tablet, you can set the acquisition  interval of location information and check the 
    transfer status of location information.
    Refer to [Help] in the “ Image App ” menu for details.
    •(When using “ Image App ” for iOS)
    If you press the Home or On/Off button of a smartph one/tablet while [Rec. loc. Info] is working, 
    location information recording is stopped.
    •The smartphone/tablet may fail to acquire location information in China and the border area in the 
    neighbouring countries of China.

    1 Select [ ].
    2 Touch and hold an image, and drag it to save it on the 
    smartphone/tablet.

    When you send a motion picture, we recommend  supplying power with the AC adaptor (supplied).•Some images may not be played back or sent depending on the device.•For information on the playback of images, check the operating instructions of the destination

    32 characters)] consisting of alphanumeric characters.
    An attempt to create a receive folder may fail if the account includes non-alphanumeric characters.
    •The name of a destination folder must consist of 20 or less alphanumeric characters.

    •Folders sorted by the sent date are created in the specified folder, and pictures are saved in those 
    folders.
    •If the screen for a user account and password entry appears, enter the one you set on your PC.•To send an image to another user account, turn off and on the camera. 
    •When the computer name (NetBIOS name for Apple Mac computers) contains a space (blank 
    character), etc., it may not be recognized correctly.
    If a connection attempt fails, we recommend that you change the computer name (or NetBIOS 
    name) to the one consisting of only alphanumeric characters, with a maximum of 15 characters.
    Sending selected images ([Send Images Stored in the Camera])
    [SINGLE] setting
    1 Press  2/1 to select the picture.
    2 Press [MENU/SET].
    [MULTI] setting
    1 Press  3/4/ 2/1 to select the picture, and then press 
    [DISP.]. (repeat this step)
    •
    The setting is canceled when [DISP.] is pressed again.
    2 Press [MENU/SET].
    •The number of pictures that can be sent by [MULTI] is 
    limited.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.

    To transfer images automatically ([Smart Transfer])
    Smart Transfer is a function that automatically transfers images in the camera to a PC.
    The transfer starts when you connect the  camera to the AC adaptor (supplied).
    [Auto Transfer] transfers images automatically  when charging starts, while [Transfer Now]  
    transfers them immediately.
    •
    When [Auto Transfer] is set to [ON], the camera automatically uploads recorded images. For this 
    reason images may be uploaded unintentionally if, for example, you share this unit with other 
    people.
    Panasonic assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by uploaded images.
    •Panasonic assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by the use of [Smart Transfer].•When you bring the camera on an airplane or to a hospital, etc., set [Airplane Mode] to  [ON], and 
    turn off the camera because electromagnetic waves, etc. emitted by the camera may interfere with 
    gauges.  (P45)
    •When a charging error occurs, Smart Transfer may not be performed.  (P168)
    •Smart transfer is not available for images stored in the built-in memory.•[Smart Transfer] is not available when the memory card is locked.•During [Smart Transfer] (when the Wi-Fi connection lamp is flashing in blue), priority will be given to 
    the transfer operation. You cannot turn on the camera.
