    Apply effects similar to that of aesthetics or makeup to brighten up any face.
    1Press 2/1 to select a picture, and then press 3 .
    •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show]   (P104) or [Filtering Play]  
    (P106) , the selection screen appears. You can proceed to step 
    2 by selecting  [Retouch] with 
    3 /4 , and then pressing  [MENU/SET].
    •You can also proceed to step 2 by selecting [Retouch] from the [Playback] menu.
    2Press 3/ 4 to select [Beauty Retouch], and then press [MENU/SET].
    3Press 2/1 to select the face of the person to edit, and 
    then press [MENU/SET].
    •Only a person with an arrow can be selected.
    (If only one person is detected, press [MENU/SET].)
    4Press 3/ 4 to select the item, and then press  1.
    Select effects from each of the following items.
    5Press 3/4 to select the effect.
    •To continue to add different effects, press  2, and repeat steps 4 and 5.

    6After finishing the picture editing, press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. Selecting [Yes] displays images before application and 
    after application.

    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •Two or more people may not be edited at once. Save the picture first, and then select the next 
    person.
    •The brightness and color of pictures you are checking before saving may differ to the actual picture 
    that is saved.
    •The following pictures cannot be processed:
    –Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode
    •Intended retouching may not be possible when the face detection is not performed properly.•When a subject is wearing glasses, the desired retouch may not be possible.•When a picture is bright due to reflected light from a flash or the sun, the retouching effect may be 
    less pronounced.
    •To take pictures appropriate for [Beauty Retouch]:–Record a large, frontal view of the face
    –Avoid taking pictures in a very dark place–Clearly record the part you intend to retouch•Reallusion is a trademark of Reallusion Inc.

    You can add your desired effects to the pictures that you have taken.
    1Press 2/1 to select an picture, and then press  3.
    •If you have filtered images for playback by using [Slide Show]   (P104) or [Filtering Play]

    •You can select the item from the following options that are also available in the Creative

    [Expressive]/[Retro]/[High Key]/[Low Key]/[Sepia]/[Dynamic Monochrome]/[Impressive Art]/
    [High Dynamic]/[Cross Process]/[Toy Effect]/[Miniature Effect]/[Soft Focus]/[Star Filter]/[One 
    Point Color]
    •A brief description of selected image effect appears when you press [DISP.].
    •Read P67–70 for details on the respective effects.
    •To set the color you want to keep by using [One Point Color], move 
    the frame at the center of the screen to the desired color with  3/4/
    2 /1 , and then press [MENU/SET].
    •If you select [OFF], an image with no effect is displayed. To proceed 
    the retouch operation, select another image effect. If you are not 
    going to add any effect, exit the menu.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •The image effect may appear weak compared to the effect given by the Creative Control Mode.•The following pictures cannot be processed:–Motion pictures
    –Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode

    Using the [Playback] Menu
    •With [Text Stamp], [Retouch], [Resize] or [Cropping], a new edited picture is created. A new picture 
    cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card so we recommend 
    checking that there is free space and then editing the picture.
    The location information (longitude/latitude) acquired by the smartphone/tablet can be sent to 
    the camera and written in images.
    •
    Pictures in the built-in memory cannot store location information. If you want to record location 
    information on them, copy the pictures in the built-in memory to a memory card, then perform 
    [Location Logging].
    Preparation:
    Sending location information to the camera from the smartphone/tablet.  (P134)
    1Press 2/1 to select pictures.
    2Select [Location Logging] on the [Playback] menu. (P44)
    3Press 3/ 4 to select [Add Location Data] and then press [MENU/SET].
    4Press 3/4 to select the period you intend to record location information 
    on pictures, then press [MENU/SET].
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected.
    •The location information is recorded onto images.•Images with location information are indicated with [ ].
    ∫ To pause the recording of location information
    Press [MENU/SET] while recording of the location information onto pictures is taking 
    place.
    •
    During a suspended period, [ ±] is displayed.
    Select the period with [ ±] to restart the recording process from the picture you left off.
    ∫ To delete the received location information

    •Location information can be written only to images taken on this camera.•Location information is not written onto the images that are recorded after [Send location data].

    Location information is not written onto the images recorded when [Rec Format] is set to [AVCHD].•When there is insufficient free space on the card, location information might not be able to be written.•When the card is locked, location information cannot be written onto the images or received location 
    information cannot be deleted.
    You can add text (comments) to pictures. After text has been registered, it can be stamped in 
    prints using [Text Stamp]  (P116).

    •When you print pictures stamped with text, the date will be printed over the stamped text if you 
    specify printing of the date at the photo shop or on the printer.
    •You can set up to 50 pictures at one time in [MULTI].
    •The picture quality may deteriorate when text stamping is carried out.•Depending on the printer being used, some characters may be cut at printing. Check before printing.•When text is stamped onto the 0.3M pictures, it is difficult to read it.
    •Text and dates cannot be stamped on the pictures in the following cases.–Motion pictures–Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode
    –Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode–Pictures recorded without setting the clock–Pictures with date or text stamped
    –Pictures recorded with other equipment
    You can add the effect of  [Auto Retouch], [Beauty Retouch], or [Creative Retouch] to recorded 
    pictures .

    Playback/Editing
    Recorded motion picture can be divided in two. It is recommended for when you want to divide 
    a part you need with a part you do not need.
    It cannot be restored once divided.
    •
    [Video Divide] may not be performed on motion pictures recorded with other equipment.•Motion pictures cannot be divided at a location close to the start or end of the motion picture.
    •With [MP4] motion pictures, the order of pictures will change if divided.
    It is recommended to search these motion pictur es by using [Calendar] or [Video Only] in the 
    [Filtering Play].
    •Motion pictures with a short recording time cannot be divided.
    [Video Divide]
    1Select [Video Divide] on the [Playback] menu. (P44)
    2Press 2/ 1 to select the motion picture to divide, and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    3Press 3 at the location to divide.
    •Motion picture is played back from the same location when  3 is 
    pressed again.
    •You can finely adjust the location for division by pressing 2 /1 while 
    the motion picture is paused.
    4Press 4.
    •Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes] is selected. 
    Exit the menu after it is executed.
    •Motion picture may be lost if the card or battery is removed while processing the dividing.

    To allow easy posting to web pages, attachment to email etc., picture size (number of pixels) is 
    reduced.
    1Select [Resize] on the [Playback] menu. (P44)
    2Press 3/4 to select [SINGLE] or [MULTI] and then press [MENU/SET].
    •You can set up to 50 pictures at one time in [MULTI].•The picture quality of the resized picture will deteriorate.
    •It may not be possible to resize pictures recorded with other equipment.•The following images cannot be resized.–Motion pictures
    –Pictures taken in Panorama Shot Mode–Pictures taken with [3D Photo Mode] in Scene Mode–Pictures with date or text stamped
