92 – C330/C530 Replacing Consumables and Maintenance Replacing the Transfer Belt Unit ____ The belt unit is located under the image drum assembly. Switch off the printer and allow the fuser to cool for about 10 minutes before opening the cover. 1.Press the cover release and open the printer’s top cover fully. WARNING! 93 – C330/C530 Replacing Consumables and Maintenance 2.Holding it by its handles, lift the image drum assembly, complete with toner cartridges, up and out of the printer Place the assembly in a safe place away from direct sources of heat, and cover it to protect it from exposure to light. CAUTION! The green image drum surface at the base of each cartridge is very delicate and light sensitive. Do not touch it and do not expose it to normal room light for more than 5 minutes. If the drum unit needs to be out of the printer for longer than this, please wrap the cartridge inside a black plastic bag to keep it away from light. 99 – C330/C530 Replacing Consumables and Maintenance Fuser Replacement ______________ The fuser is located inside the printer just behind the toner cartridges. 1.Press the cover release and open the printer’s top cover fully. WARNING If the printer has recently been powered on, some fuser components will be very hot. Handle the fuser with extreme care, holding it only by its handle, which will only be mildly warm to the touch. A warning label clearly indicates the area. 100 – C330/C530 Replacing Consumables and Maintenance 2.Pull the two fuser retaining levers (1) towards the front of the printer so that they are fully upright. Holding the fuser by its handle (2), lift the fuser straight up and out of the printer.
