Page 55 7. INITIALIZATION Adjustments When Replacing Parts The following adjustment must always be performed when the game is first installed, and after replacing the Game PCB or Control Pots. The game will not operate correctly if these adjustments are not made. 1) Ensure that the Horse and Head assemblies are in their central positions. 2) Slide the test switch ON while pressing the service switch. Page 56 8. REMOVING AND REPLACING ASSEMBLIES AND PARTS 8-1 Replacing the Pedal Assembly 1. Remove the three M5x10 security screws and remove the stirrup cover. 2. Remove the M8 x 20 socket cap screw and washer, then remove the stirrup safety bracket and pedal arm. 3. Replace the pedal arm with a new one then reassemble using the reverse procedure. Note: When remounting the pedal arm, make sure that it is facing exactly downwards.

Page 57 8-2 Replacing the Pedal Rubber 1. Remove the four security screws (M5x12) and remove the rubber retainers. 2. Lift off the pedal rubber. 3. Refit the new pedal rubber onto the step box. 4. Insert the rubber retainers back into their original position (note short and long end) and refit and tighten the four security screws (M5x12)

Page 58 8-3 Replacing the Neck Pot 1. Remove the ten security screws (M5x16) and remove the left and right hand neck vac-forms. 2. Disconnect the control pot connector. 3. Loosen the socket set screw (M4x8) and remove the pot complete with bracket. 4. Replace the pot and re-assemble in reverse order. NOTE: When replacing the potentiometer ensure that the set screw (M4x8) engages on the flat of the pot shaft, and that the lug on the bracket engages in the slot of the neck metal work.

Page 59 8-4 Replacing the Whip Button switch 1. Remove the three socket screws (M4x8), Socket screw (M4x8) and Hex nut (M4), and remove the whip button cover. 2. Remove the connector then replace the whip button switch assembly. 3. Re-assemble in reverse order.

Page 60 8-5 Replacing the Rein Frame 1. Remove the left and right neck vac-forms. (see section 8-3 (1)) 2. Remove the three security screws (M5x16) securing the neck flange. 3. Remove the four pozi head screws (M5x12),flat and spring washers then remove the neck vac-form support bracket. Temporarily slide the neck flange backwards. 4. Remove the three security screws (M5x16) securing the neck cup then slide the neck cup backwards. 5. Remove the connector.

Page 61 6. Remove the pozi head screw (M6x12) then remove the harness cover from the left-hand side of the tip. 7. Remove the two socket button head screws (M4x16) (one each from the left-hand and right-hand sides) then remove the bit. 8. Remove the eight socket button head screws (M6x16) (four each from the left-hand and right-hand sides) then remove the rein levers. 9. Replace the rein frame with a new one then reassemble using the reverse procedure.
