Scroll to the phonebook list you want to view, either P, [ or ]. 3. Press Options and scroll to Search. Press OK. 4. Enter the first letter (s) of the name to search alphabetically and press OK. 5. The names beginning with that letter will be displayed. 6. Scroll down to the exact entry. 7. Press e to return to standby. 5.4 Edit a name and number 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Edit Entry and press OK. 4. First Name is highlighted, press OK to edit the first name or scroll to the field you want to edit and press OK. 5. Press Clear to delete a character / digit, or press and hold Clear to delete all characters / digits. 6. Press Save to confirm the changes. 7. Press e to return to standby. 5.5 Assign a ringtone 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Select Ringtone and press OK. 4. Scroll to the ringtone you want and press OK. The ringtone is saved. 5. Press e to return to standby.
32Phonebook 5.6 Assign a quickdial number 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Quickdial and press OK. 4. Scroll to the keypad number where the entry will be stored and press OK, the Quickdial entry is stored. 5. Press e to return to standby. 5.7 Clear a quickdial number 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Quickdial and press OK. 4. Scroll to Delete? and press OK to confirm. 5. Press e to return to standby. 5.8 Access the phonebook during a call 1. During a call, press Options. 2. Scroll to the phonebook list you want, either P, [ or ]. 3. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press OK to view the details. 5.9 Assign a birthday or anniversaryYou can assign a birthday or anniversary reminders to a phonebook entry. 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Birthday or Anniversary and press OK. 4. The display shows Enter Date, press OK. 5. Using the keypad enter the date, press OK. 6. Scroll to Reminder Ring and press OK. 7. Scroll to the required melody and press OK. 8. Scroll to Reminder On/Off and press OK. 9. Scroll to On or Off, press OK and the press Save. 10. Press e to return to standby.

Press e to return to standby. 5.11 Delete an entry 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Delete and press OK. 4. Display shows Confirm delete?. Press OK to confirm. 5. Press e to return to standby. 5.12 Delete all entries 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Press Options and scroll to Delete All and press OK. 3. Display shows Confirm delete all ?. Press OK to confirm. 4. Press e to return to standby. 5.13 Do Not Disturb (DND) exceptionsYou can assign an entry to the DND allow list, so when the person calls even when DND is activated the phone will ring, see page 42. 1. Press UP. The first entry is highlighted on the display. 2. Enter the first letter of the name to search alphabetically then scroll to the exact entry. Press Options. 3. Scroll to Do Not Disturb and press OK. 4. Press e to return to standby.
34Calls list 6. Calls list If you have subscribed to Caller ID service, and provided the identity of the caller is not withheld, the number of the caller will be displayed together with the date and time of the call (if provided by the network). You can also sync your mobile calls list to your IT.6T, see page 22. NOTES If the caller’s number is stored in your phonebook along with a name, the name will also be displayed. If the number is unavailable, Unknown will be displayed. If the caller has withheld their number, Private will be displayed. If the call is from an international number, OVERSEAS will be displayed. If the call is from a payphone, Payphone will be displayed. Information about incoming calls is dependent on the country and network operator. Some operators may charge a subscription for their Caller ID service. The Calls lists contains details of missed, received and dialled calls. Details include the date and time of the call. Entries are displayed in chronological order with the most recent call at the top of the list. When the list is full, and a new call is received, the oldest entry will be deleted automatically. The Calls list holds details of up to 50 calls. 6.1 New calls alertWhen you have new missed calls (incoming calls that you haven’t answered), the display shows X Missed calls and the M icon flashes. 1. To view the missed call, press Menu scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. M indicates a new missed call, once viewed the icon disappears. 6.2 View different Calls lists 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Press Options and scroll to Show, press OK. 5. Scroll to the calls list you want ( All Calls, Missed Calls, Received Calls, Dialled Calls) and press OK. 6. Press e to return to standby.
35Calls list 6.3 Dial a number in the Calls list 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Scroll to the entry you want. 5. If the outgoing line is set to manual, press r and scroll to the line you want to dial out from. 6. Press r to dial or press e to return to standby. 6.4 Copy a Calls list number to the phonebook 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Scroll to the entry you want and press Options. 5. Save Number is highlighted, press OK. 6. Home is highlighted, press OK. 7. First Name is highlighted, press OK, enter the name and press OK. 8. Scroll to Last Name, press OK, enter the name and press OK. 9. Scroll to the number category you want to store the number under, either Home, Office, or Mobile and press OK. 10. Enter the number and press OK, press Save and the entry is stored. 11. Press e to return to standby. 6.5 View the details of an entry 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Scroll to the entry you want and press Options. 5. Scroll to Show Details. Press OK. The number (or name if stored in the phonebook) and the date and time of the call are displayed. 6. Press e to return to standby. 6.6 Assign a phonebook entry to the Call block list 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed.

The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Scroll to the entry you want and press Options. 5. Scroll to Delete and press OK. The call is deleted. 6. Press e to return to standby. 6.8 Delete the entire Calls list 1. Press Menu, scroll to Calls List and press OK. 2. Scroll to the home line or mobile line calls list ( P, [ or ]) you want. 3. The most recent number or name (if stored in the phonebook) is displayed. 4. Press Options, scroll to Delete All and press OK. The calls list is deleted. 5. Press e to return to standby.
37Using the answering machine 7. Using the answering machine The IT.6T answering machine records unanswered calls when it is activated. It can store up to 59 messages within the maximum recording time of 60 minutes. Each message can be up to 3 minutes long. Your personalised outgoing messages can be up to 3 minutes long. You can operate your answering machine from: • the base. • the handset. • remotely, from another phone (see page 40). 7.1 Base control keys O Press to switch the answering machine on / off. p Press to play all stored messages. Press to stop message playback. > Skip to the next message during message playback. < Press to skip back to previous message. x Delete current message during message playback. u Increase speaker volume during message playback. d Decrease speaker volume. 7.2 Switch the answering machine on / off and set the answer modeWhen switched on, the handset display shows in standby. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Answer Mode and press OK. 3. Scroll to either Answer & Record, Answer Only or Off then press OK. 4. Press e to return to standby. NOTE Alternatively, press O on the base to switch on the answering machine. 7.3 Outgoing messagesThe OGM is the message a caller first hears when the answering machine picks up their call. The IT.6T comes with 2 pre-recorded OGMs, or you can record your own. 7.4 Record a personalised outgoing message You can record personalised outgoing messages up to 3 minutes long for your callers. The Answer & Record mode allows your caller to leave a message after the announcement, while the Answer Only mode only allows your caller to hear the announcement. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Outgoing Msg. and press OK. 3. Scroll to either Answer & Record or Answer Only and press OK.
38Using the answering machine 4. Scroll to Record and press OK. 5. The display shows Recording. 6. After the tone, speak your message clearly into the handset then press OK to end recording. 7. Your OGM is played back. 8. Press e to return to standby. 7.5 Play your personalised OGMDeleting a personalised outgoing message automatically reinstates the pre-recorded outgoing message, if you have set the personalised outgoing message as your announcement before. You cannot delete a pre-recorded message. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Outgoing Msg. and press OK. 3. Scroll to either Answer & Record or Answer Only and press OK. 4. Play is highlighted, press OK. 5. The message is played. 6. Press e to return to standby. 7.6 Reinstate the Pre recorded OGM 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Outgoing Msg. and press OK. 3. Scroll to either Answer & Record or Answer Only and press OK. 4. Scroll to Default OGM and press OK. 5. Press OK to confirm. 7.7 New messages alertWhen you have new messages, the display shows X New message (s) and the flashes on the display. 7.8 Message playbackWhen the message is played back the caller’s number is displayed (if stored in the phonebook the name will be displayed) along with the date and time of the call. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Play is highlighted. 3. Press OK to view the message list. 4. Scroll to the message you want to play and press Options.
39Using the answering machine 5. Play is highlighted, press OK. 6. At the end of playback, press Back to return to the previous menu level. NOTE When the selected message is new you will have the option to play the message or delete all old messages. If the message is old you will have the option to play / mark the message as new / delete that message or delete all old messages. New messages cannot be deleted. 7.9 Delete all old messagesAnswering machine messages that are not deleted are automatically saved. New messages or existing messages that have not been played back cannot be deleted. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Delete All and press OK. 3. Display shows Confirm delete all? Press OK. 4. Press e to return to standby. NOTE When the memory is full, the outgoing message will automatically be set to Answer Only. You must delete old messages before the IT.6T can record new messages. 7.10 Answer delayAnswer delay sets the number of times the IT.6T will ring before the answering machine picks up your call and starts playing the OGM. You can change this setting to between 3 - 8 Rings or Time Saver. The default setting is 5 rings. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Answer Delay and press OK. 3. Scroll to the setting you want and press OK. 4. Press e to return to standby. NOTE If Time Saver is set, the answering machine will answer after 3 rings during remote access if you have new messages. If you do not have any new messages, it will answer after 5 rings. This means you can hang up after 4 rings knowing you have no new messages, saving you time and the cost of the call.
40Using the answering machine 7.11 Incoming message sound quality You can adjust the sound quality of incoming messages, there are two different qualities Normal and High. 1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press OK. 2. Scroll to Rec’d Quality and press OK. 3. Scroll to Normal or High and press OK. 4. Press e to return to standby. NOTE The sound quality can only be adjusted before recording starts. If the sound quality is set to High the message recording time will reduce to 40 minutes. 7.12 Call screeningWhen the answering machine is on and takes a call, you can use the loudspeaker to listen to the caller leaving a message. You can then identify the caller and decide whether to take the call in person. 1. When the handset rings, wait for the answering machine to take the call. When the caller begins leaving a message, the display shows Recording. Press Screen to hear the caller. 2. To interrupt and speak to the caller directly, press r. 3. Press e to return to standby. 7.13 Remote accessRemote access allows you to operate your answering machine and listen to your messages by calling the IT.6T from another phone. The default setting is Off. 1. Call your IT.6T. When you hear the announcement, press #. 2. Enter your 4 digit remote access PIN (default setting = 0000).
