Pare\ftal Co\ftrol ca\f be used to block specific cha\f\fels, rati\fgs a\fd other vie\bi\fg sources.
The Pare\ftal Co\ftrol Fu\fctio\f (V-Chip) is used to block program vie\bi\fg based o\f the rati\fgs se\ft by 
the broadcasti\fg statio\f. The default setti\fg is to allo\b all programs to be vie\bed. Vie\bi\fg ca\f be 
blocked by choosi\fg the type of the program a\fd the categories. It is also possible to block all pro-
gram vie\bi\fg for a time period. To use this fu\fctio\f, the follo\bi\fg must be do\fe :
1. Set rati\fgs a\fd categories to be blocked.
2. Specify a pass\bord
3. E\fable the lock

Rati\fg guideli\fes are provided by broadcasti\fg statio\fs. Most televisio\f programs a\fd televisio\f mov -
