Setting up the printer on a Windows operating system
1Before you unpack the printer or attach anything, locate the CD for Windows.
2Make sure the computer is on, and then insert the CD for Windows.
Wait several seconds for the install screen to appear.
Note: If the install screen does not appear automatically, click Start Œ Run, and then type D:\setup.exe, where
D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
3Follow the instructions on the computer screen to set up the printer.

Note: Decide on a location to set the Tray 2 base. The printer will be placed on top of it, so allow enough space.
1Make sure the printer is turned off and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
2Remove Tray 2 from its packaging.
3Remove any packaging tape from the base and tray.
4Grasp the printer by its handholds to lift it.
