Recommendations for all climates and conditions.
NOTE: Recommended oils are complete in themselves and additives should not be used.
NOTE: It is essential to change oil much more frequently if the vehicle is operated under severe
conditions, especially if deep wading is carried out.
    Engine oil
Use a 5W/30, 5W/40 or 10W/40 oil meeting API service level SG,SH or SJ and having a viscosity
band recommended for the temperature range of your locality.
    Engine oil temperature ranges
    5W/30 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 95ºF (35ºC).
    5W/40 will protect from -22ºF (-30ºC) to 122ºF (50ºC).
    10W/40 will protect from 14ºF (-10ºC) to 122ºF (50ºC).

    Brake reservoir
‘Shell Donax YB’ brake fluid conforming to DOT 4 specification. If this fluid is not available use a
universal brake fluid or any brake fluid having a minimum boiling point of 500°F (260°C) and
    complying with FMVSS 116 DOT4.
    Windscreen washers
    Windscreen washer solvent.
    Engine cooling system
Use Havoline Extended Life Coolant (XLC), or any ethylene glycol based anti-freeze (containing no
methanol) with only Organic Acid Technology (OAT) corrosion inhibitors. Use one part anti-freeze to
one part water for protection down to -33°F (-36° C).

    VEHICLE WEIGHTS
    DEFINITIONS:
•Curb Weight: minimum unladen vehicle weight plus a full fuel tank.
•Gross Vehicle Weight: maximum permissible weight of vehicle with driver, passengers, payload
equipment and towing attachment load (where applicable)
NOTE: The maximum axle weights are individual axle loadings which allow for the fitting of optional
equipment. Loading both axles to their respective maximums MUST BE AVOIDED, as the overall
maximum vehicle weight would then be exceeded.
The individual maximum axle weights and gross vehicle weight must not be exceeded.
    TOWING WEIGHTS
    Approximate curb weights (excluding options)
    - Vehicles with coil spring suspension 4576 - 4853 lb (2070 - 2195 kg)
    - Vehicles with self levelling suspension 4630 - 4908 lb (2095 - 2220 kg
    Maximum gross vehicle weight
    - 5-seat vehicles with coil spring suspension 6063 lb (2750 kg)
    - 7-seat vehicles with coil spring suspension 6228 lb (2825 kg)
    - Vehicles with self levelling suspension 6228 lb (2825 kg)
    Maximum front axle load
    - All vehicles 2646 lb (1200 kg)
    Maximum rear axle load
    - 5-seat vehicles with coil spring suspension 3792 lb (1720 kg)
    - 7-seat vehicles with coil spring suspension 3968 lb (1800 kg)
    - Vehicles with self-levelling suspension 3968 lb (1800 kg)

    WHEELS & TYRES
    WARNING
•ALWAYS use the same make and type of radial-ply tyres front and back. DO NOT use
cross-ply tyres, or interchange tyres from front to back. For optimum performance and
handling ALWAYS replace tyres with those recommended below. Failure to do so may
    adversely affect vehicle handling.
•NEVER drive your vehicle if the tyres are badly worn, cut or damaged, or if the pressures are
    incorrect.
•Incorrectly inflated tyres wear rapidly and seriously affect the vehicles safety and road
    handling characteristics.
•Your vehicle is fitted with tubeless road wheels that will NOT accept inner tubes. DO NOT fit
    a tube tyre.
    Wheel size and type
    Tyre specification
    Tyre pressures
NOTE: Tyre pressures must be checked with the tyres cold, as the pressure is about 20 kPa (3 psi)
higher at running temperature. If the vehicle has been parked in the sun or high ambient
temperatures, DO NOT reduce the tyre pressures, move the vehicle into the shade and wait for the
tyre to cool before checking the pressures.
