Arming alarm
To arm thealarm, aimhandset atvehicle andpress
the RH button (Padlock symbol).Provided alldoors
and orapertures areclosed, thedirection indicator
lamps willflash three times toconfirm thatthealarm is
armed. Allsecurity features previously describedwill
be active.
Once armed, thealarm willsound ifa door orthe
bonnet isopened, orifmovement isdetected inside
the vehicle.

IMMOBILISATION
Engine immobilisation isan important aspectofthe
vehicles securitysystem,andoccurs automatically
whenever thealarm system isarmed.
The system alsoincludes afeature knownaspassive
immobilisation, whichisdesigned tosafeguard
thevehicle fromtheftshould thedriver forget toarm
the alarm.
Passive immobilisation occursautomatically as
follows:
Thirty seconds afterthestarter switchhasbeen
turned offand thedrivers dooropened.

When thevehicle immobilisation andalarm system is
fitted, threefuses areused toprotect thecircuit:
Alarm system 15amp fuse, mainharness, located
behind instrument binnacle.
Alarmsounder 20amp fuseNo.10, located inmain
fuse box.
Alarm system 5amp fuseNo.20, located inmain
fuse box.
The main fuseboxispositioned inthe centre ofthe

NOTE:Thehandset shouldbedetached
from thekey toallow perimetric testingof
the alarm system. Thesystem will
automatically switchtovolumetric testingifthe
handset isin close proximity tothe starter switch.
The built-in testprocedure canbeaccessed providing
the following conditions exist:
Alarm disarmed.
Ignition off.
Doors unlocked.
Bonnet closed.
With assistance, thetest mode canbeentered by
completing thefollowing instructions...
