Load originals for scanning 1.Lift the flatbed scanner cover. 2.Place the original document face-down on the flatbed scanner with the upper-left corner of the document at the corner indicated by the icon on the scanner. 3.Gently close the lid. 2.Clean the glass by using a soft cloth or sponge that has been moistened with nonabrasive glass cleaner. CAUTION:Do not use abrasives, acetone, benzene, ammonia, ethyl alcohol, or carbon tetrachloride on any part of the product; these can damage the product. Do not place liquids directly on the glass. Scan a book 1.Lift the lid and place the book on the flatbed scanner with the page that you want to copy at the corner indicated by the icon on the scanner. 2.Gently close the lid. 3.Gently press down on the lid to press the book to the flatbed scanner surface.
