●Paper often tends to curl
 near the end of a roll, which can  cause stacking problems. Load a new
roll, or remove prints manu ally as they are completed.
● If you are mixing prints or nesting sets of seve
ral different sizes, you might experience stacking
problems because of the differe nt sizes of paper in the bin.

Cannot insert an ink cartridge
1.Check that you have the correct type of cartridge (model number).
2. Check that the colored label on the cartridge 
is the same color as the label on the slot.
3. Check that the cartridge is corre
ctly oriented, the arrow on the front of the ink cartridge should
face upwards.
CAUTION: Never clean inside the ink cartridge slots.

Paper scrolling
When printing in Fast mode with highly curled paper, the paper may scroll when ejected to the stacker
tray. To avoid this problem, you ar e recommended to switch to Normal  mode or use a paper roll with a
76.2-mm (3-in) core.

Use the  Optimize for images  setting: see Select print quality on page 79.

Check for any obstruction in the paper path, such  as loose objects or other pieces of paper.

The front panel displays that the stacker is
disconnected
If the front panel constantly or intermittently claims that the stacker is disconnected from the printer,
there may be a problem with the heig ht of the stacker. Use the following procedure to adjust the height
of the stacker.
1. Using an hexagonal wrench, loosen
 the upper hexagonal nut on both of the stackers wheels that
are closest to the printer.
2. Adjust the height of the stacker by rotating the

The printer is not printing
Possible reasons why a file you have sent from your computer is not printing when expected, include
the following:
● A problem with the electrical powe
r might exist. If the printer is not performing and the front panel
does not respond, check that the  power cable is correctly connected  and that the electrical socket
is functioning.
● An unusual electromagnetic phenom
ena may exist, such as strong electromagnetic fields or severe
electrical disturbances. Such occurrences can...

In the Windows HP-GL/2 driver, click the Advanced tab, select Document options  > Printer
features , and then set  Max. Application resolution  to 300.

Here are some possible explanations:

Did you set the print quality to  Best? Images printed with the  Best print-quality setting require
more time to print.
● Did you specify the correct pape
