    FVMS (option) Overview  
     
    Connecting to a DVR using FVMS  
    FVMS (software part number HFVMSP ) is available as an optional accessory 
    for HR DP. FVMS  software is Multi- Site Management Software ; a powerful 
    utility that allows 100 or more DVR s to be controlled using one computer. 
    This software allows you to view live video, search saved video, edit and 
    configure setup on each DVR, and import maps of buildings and other 
    locations.  
    1.   Configure  the DVR for remote access as shown above in Set up a 
    Remote Connection.  
    2.   Follow the instructions in the FVMS manual for Adding a New Site.

     Power
      Illuminates when power is

    Enter / Exit Buttons  
     Enter
      Input data, make selections, and 
    open pop-
    up menus.  
      Exit
      Return to the previous mode or 
    menu, without saving.
     
     
    Function Buttons 
     
     Search
     Open the search menu.  
      Focus In PTZ mode, press to use the Focus 
    function.  
    Use the   buttons to adjust.  
     
     Backup
     In live mode, press to open the backup 
    menu.  
    For Quick Backup in the search mode,  
    Press once, to set the start time. 
    Press again, to set the end time. 
    Press a third time, to complete Backup.  
     Zoom  In PTZ mode, press to use PTZ Zoom 
    function.  
    Use the   buttons to adjust.  
     
     Rotate
     Rotate through to the remaining channels 
    in the current display mode or rotate the 
    display configuration.  
     Preset In PTZ mode, press to use the Preset 
    function.  
     
     Key
      Log out the current user. Use to prevent 
    accidental or unauthorized system -wide 
    changes.  
      Iris  In PTZ mode, press to use the IRIS 
    function. 
    Use the   buttons to adjust.  
     
     Live
      Change the  display mode . Display 
    switches in the following order when the 
    LIVE key is pressed successively: (Single 
    > 4 > 7 > 9 > 10 > 13 > 16 > Single > 4 
    > 7 > 9 ...split screen mode) . 
     
     
    Setup  Open the setup menu.  
     Power Press and hold to shutdown or start.

    Q.  What does Embedded Linux mean?
     
      A.  Embedded Linux means that the operating system of the 
    DVR has been im
    printed into the CPU (Central Processing 
    Unit). This means that the system response time is faster, 
    more stable, and that the core of the DVR is protected 
    against  external factors, such as virus.  
     
    Q.  Is the D
    VR upgradeable by CD or network ?
