Pull choke knob to CLOSED position, unless engine is warm (p. 14). Throttle grip not in START position (tiller-handle type). Turn throttle grip to START (p.36). If the fuse bums out, the engine will not charge the battery, and the electric starter will not operate. The engine can be started using the recoil starter or the emergency starter repe.
