OUTBOARD MOTOR SAFETY Refuel With Care Gasoline is extremely flammable, and gasoline vapor can explode. Refuel outdoors, in a well-ventilated area, with the engine stopped. Never smoke near gasoline, and keep other flames and sparks away. Remove any portable fuel tank from the boat for refueling. Keep the portable fuel tank away from the battery or other potential spark sources. Refuel carefully to avoid spilling fuel. Avoid overfilling the fuel tank. After refueling, tighten the tiller...
