When the engine is start- ed, the cutting tool starts to rotate immedi- ately. Take the brush cutter to minimum speed by pressing and releasing the throttle lever. Check that the cutting tool stops turning when the engine is running at minimum speed. If the engine does not start up after having repeated the operations, see the paragraph on Troubleshooting. – IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR with use of the brush cutter, practise the procedures with the engine switched off and the switch in the OFF «STOP» position. – ALWAYS FREE THE WORK AREA of objects such as cans, bottles, stones, etc.. Hitting these objects can cause serious injury to the operator or others present and damage the brush cutter. REPLACING THE GRASS-CUTTING HEAD LINE To replace the nylon line, follow the instructions enclosed with the head (supplementary page separate from the guide) Never replace the nylon line with a line made of any other material (e.g. metal wire). SHARPENING 3- OR 4-POINTED DISKS Remove the spark plug cap before sharpening. Put on a pair of gloves before sharpening to avoid contact with the blade. Danger of serious wounds.
