To replace the hard drive: 1Back up any data you want to transfer to the new hard drive. 235 Replacing the hard drive www.gateway.com 9Pr y up o n th e left side of th e h ard d rive ( th e side awa y from the con n ecto r) by inserting a flat-blade screw driver in the small groove in the plastic. 10Pull the hard drive away from the connector at a 45° angle and remove it from the notebook. 11Insert the new hard drive into your notebook at a 45° angle and press the left side into place. 12Insert the hard drive cable directly into the connector.
