    you hear noises fromyourproduct afterinstalling ink,check thefollowing:
     •
    The firsttime youinstall inkcartridges, theproduct mustcharge itsprint head. Waituntilcharging
     finishes
    beforeyouturn offthe product, oritmay charge improperly anduseexcess inkthe next time
     you
    turn iton. Your product isfinished charging theprint head when the power lightstops flashing.
     •
    Ifthe products printhead stops moving ormaking noise,andthecharging processhasnotfinished
     after
    approximately 5minutes, turnoffyour product. Turnitback onand check tosee ifcharging isstill
     in
    progress. Ifitis still inprogress, contactEpsonforhelp.
     •
    Turn offthe product, thenmake suretheinkcartridges areinserted completely andtheinkcartridge
     cover
    isclosed completely. Alsomake surenopacking material remains inthe product. Waita
     moment,
    thenturntheproduct backontoclear theerror.

    LCDscreen isnot litor does notappear, makesureyouselect oneofthe WPS options from

    product controlpanelwithin 2minutes ofpressing theWPS button onyour router.

    Make suretoplace yourproduct withincontact rangeofyour 2.4GHz router oraccess point.Avoid
     placing
    yourproduct nearamicrowave oven,2.4GHz cordless phone,orlarge metal object, suchasa
     filing
    cabinet.

    Verify thatyour router oraccess pointisoperating correctlybyconnecting toitfrom yourcomputer or

    You may need todisable thefirewall andanyanti-virus softwareonyour wireless routeroraccess

    Check tosee ifaccess restrictions, suchasMAC address filtering,aresetonthe router oraccess
     point.
    Ifaccess restrictions areset, add your products MACaddress toyour routers address list.To
     obtain
    yourproducts MACaddress, printanetwork statussheet. Thenfollow theinstructions inyour
     router
    oraccess pointdocumentation toadd theaddress tothe list.
     •
    Ifyour router oraccess pointdoes notbroadcast itsnetwork name(SSID), followtheinstructions that
     came
    withyour product toenter yourwireless networknamemanually.

    Ifyour router oraccess pointhassecurity enabled, determine thekind ofsecurity itis using andany
     required
    password orpassphrase forconnection. Thenmake suretoenter theexact WEPkeyorWPA
     passphrase
    correctly.
     •
    Check ifyour computer isrestricting theavailable wirelesschannels. Ifso, verify thatyour wireless
     access
    pointisusing oneofthe usable channels andchange toausable channel, ifnecessary.
     •
    Ifyou areusing aWi-Fi Direct connection thatsuddenly disconnects, theWi-Fi direct password on
     your
    device mayhave been changed. Ifnecessary, deletetheexisting DIRECT-xxxxxxxx connection
     settings
    fromyourdevice andenter anew password. Seeyour device documentation forinstructions.
     •
    Ifyou connected yourproduct toaWindows computer usingWi-FiDirect anditautomatically selected
     Access
    PointMode, youmay have trouble accessing alow-priority Internetconnection. Checkthe
     network
    connection oradapter settings inthe Windows ControlPanelandsetthe Internet metric
     setting
    to100 foryour version ofthe Internet Protocol.

    Reset yourproducts networksettingstotheir factory defaults.

    Windows only:uninstall yourproduct software.

    Initialize yourrouter following theinstructions inyour router documentation.

    Ifyou areusing TCP/IP, makesuretheproducts IPaddress isset correctly foryour network. Ifyour
     network
    doesnotassign IPaddresses usingDHCP, setthe IPaddress manually.

    Make sureyourcomputer andproduct areboth using thesame wireless network.
     •
    Ifnetwork printingisslow, printanetwork statussheetandcheck thesignal strength. Ifitis poor, place
     your
    product closertoyour router oraccess point.Avoid placing yourproduct nearamicrowave oven,

    Load onlyonesheet ofmedia inthe front manual feedtray.Forposterboard, makesurethere is
     enough
    spacebehind theproduct forthe media tofeed through.
     •
    Ifmultiple pagesfeedatonce, remove thepaper, fantheedges toseparate thesheets, andreload it.
     •
    Ifyou cannotinsert paper easilyintothefront manual feedtray,make surethepaper isperfectly flat
     and
    notcurled.

    Ifyou areprinting onroll paper orwith thesheet feeder, makesurethemanual feedtrayisnot
     extended.
    Extenditonly toload fineartpaper orposterboard. Oncethemedia isfed into theproduct
     and
    youseeamessage onthe LCD screen, closethemanual feedtray.
     •
    Ifpaper loaded usingthefront manual feedtraydoes notfeed, make sureyouinstalled thepaper
     correctly
    andguided itall the way intotheproduct.
     •
    Do not load more thantherecommended numberofsheets.
     •
    Make surepaper isloaded inthe correct orientation. Loadcutsheets inthe sheet feeder vertically.
     •
    Make sureyourpaper meets thespecifications foryour product.
     •
    Ifpaper dustbuilds uponthe rollers, theymaylosetraction andbecome unabletofeed paper
     properly.
    Cleanthepaper guide.
     •
    Ifroll paper doesnotfeed, cutthe end straight acrossanduncurl itby rolling itbackward, ifnecessary.
     Then
    reload thepaper.
     •
    Ifthick media doesnotfeed, make sureyouareloading itstraight intotheproduct, notatan angle.
     •
    Make surethetransportation lockisremoved fromthefront manual feedtray.
     •
    Ifpaper jamswhen youprint onboth sides ofthe paper, tryloading fewersheets.
     •
    For best results, followtheseguidelines:
     •
    Use new, smooth, high-quality paperthatisnot damp, curled, creased, old,toothin, ortoo thick.
     •
    Load paper printable sideup.
     •
    Follow anyspecial loading instructions thatcame withthepaper.
