Personal Printer Setup  
1. Insert the  Drivers and Utilities  CD into your computer to start  Easy Setup Navigator.  
 
2. Press  Software Installation  to launch the installation software.  
 
3. Select  Personal Installation , and then click  Next .  
 
4. Click  Install .  
 
5. Follow the instructions that appear on the  Found New Hardware Wizard  dialog...

e.   Select  TCP/IP Settings  from the list at the left side of the page.  
 
If the IP address is  0.0.0.0 , wait for a few minutes to resolve the IP address automatically, and then display the  TCP/IP Settings  page again.  
You can also print and check the printer settings from the  Report  page. To print the  Report  page, press and hold the  Continue  button on the operator 
panel.

Before you start remote installation, perform the following procedures.  
Allow Print Spooler to Accept Client Connections  
1. Click  Start ®   Run .  
 
For Windows Server 2003/Windows Server 2008: Click  Start ®   Run .  
For Windows Vista: Click  Start ®   All Programs ®   Accessories ®   Run .  
2. Type  gpedit.msc , and then click  OK .  
 
3. Click  Continue.  (for Windows Vista only)  
 
4. Click  Computer Configuration ®   Administrative Templates ®   Printers .  
 
5. Right - click  Allow Print...

1. Click  Start ®   Administrative Tools .  
 
2. Click  Services .  
 
3. Right - click  Remote Registry  and select  Start .  
 
4. Right - click  Remote Registry  and select  Properties .  
 
5. Change  Startup type:  to  Automatic , and then click  OK .  
 
Disable User Account Control  
For Windows Vista:  
1. Click  Start ®   Control Panel .  
 
2. Select  User Accounts and Family Safety .  
 
3. Click  User Accounts .  
 
4. Click  Turn User Account Control on or off .

Use the Customer Mode to locate the unit in the printer that causes a problem.  
Checking the printer operations  
1. Click  Start ®   All Programs ®   Dell Printers ®   Additional Color Laser Software ®   Status Monitor Console.  
The Printer Selection dialog box opens.  
 
2. Click  Dell Color Laser 1320c  listed in Printer Name.  
The Dell Color Laser 1320c Launcher window opens.  
 
3. Click the  Tool Box  button.
