Replacing the Lamp
When the usage time of the lamp exceeds a certain amount of time, the following mes-
sage (two types) is displayed for 10 second s every time the projector is turned on.
2,700 hours to less than 3,000 hours
Prepare the new lamp when this screen is displayed.
• Only the [ ], [ ], OK  and POWER  buttons are available while this screen is displayed.
 When you press the POWER button, “Push POWER button again to turn off power.”

Replacement Lamp
This projector uses the following lamps.
Lamp part No.: RS-LP06 (WUX4000)RS-LP07 (WUX5000 / WUX4000)
Contact the Canon Customer Support Center when purchasing a replacement lamp.

2Loosen one screw and open the lamp cover in the direction of the arrow.

3Loosen the 3 screws on the inside of the lamp unit, then slowly pull out the lamp unit in 
the direction of the arrow.
Even when the screws are loosened, t hey will not fall off the lamp unit.
4Fully insert a new lamp unit and secure it with the 3 screws.
5Close the lamp cover and tighten the screws.
6Turn on the power. Bring up the menu and sele ct [System settings] - [Other settings] - 
[Lamp counter].

7Select [Reset] - [OK] to reset the lamp counter.
• It is recommended that you also replace the air filter when you replace the lamp.

LED Indicator Meanings
When there is a problem with the projector, the LED indicator on the side of the projector 
illuminates or flashes continuously after the projector is turned off.
• Wait until the cooling fan stops and disco nnect the power plug from the AC outlet 
before dealing with the problem.
